It was a first-person shooter like Dark Forces and the screenshots looked great. I remember they were hyping this game like crazy on their website and they gave a tentative release date of this past Spring, I think. But now I don't see anything about it. Did they abandon it? Anybody know?

Totally abandoned the PC version, but it will be ported to undisclosed "next-generation" console(s).

The story was all over their website a few months back.
A lot of PC owners got really upset about it.
A few even threatened violence against LucasArts employees.

Scuttlebutt is that it will be announced for X-Box at E3. Of course, this information comes from an X-Box related site and I don't necessarily believe them anymore.

However, I would bet it will be announced at E3 no matter what system it comes to.

IGN seems to think it will be a gamecube exclusive along with the new Rougue game. This may be true, but I say there is a large possibility of it being an x-box exclusive game.

MS probally just waived more money in front of them then Lucas could ever hope to make on a PC game.

I don't know why, but I'm just not as hyped for this game as I was for Dark Forces 2. Isn't this game solely a third-person game? I think I may have just become jaded from all the recent sub-par Star Wars universe games.

I preparing to be pleasantly surprised though.

What happened at Lucasarts anyway? Did their heads get too big? They used to be one of the best game makers out there whether it be Star Wars or otherwise(X-Wing trilogy and the 2 Dark Forces games are some of my all time favorites). Personally I haven't enjoyed a game they have made since Jedi Knight for the PC. I guess Lucas has been turned to the dark side by money and sacrificed quality for their products. When I remember reading articles from years past saying he wouldn't be associated with just anything.

This is all my opinion but I find it interesting that Star Wars franchise games have completely sucked the past few years and games made for the Star Trek franchise have gotten much better(Armada, Elite Force and some of the stuff that is upcoming look incredible) when they used to be in the gutter for the most part. Of course with Star Wars games I'm not too interested in rail shooters or 3rd person perspective games. So that's part of my problem with them recently.

As Dennis Miller says...That's just my opinion I could be wrong...

Yes, and the Starfighter series for PS2 is looking promising
