Ok we have Shane o Mac running WCW, we have Vince running the WWF, that's around 90% definite. Wrestlemania will set up storywise how this will happen
is Russo outta a job ? i think so !
How will Vince handle other 'traitors' ? Vince is a tough mean dude. he may not fire them but he won't be pushing them either ! so Nash, Jarret, Hogan and others might as well retire
How soon will the serious crossovers start ?
appearancewise probably this week, wrestling wise i hope not for a few weeks
Cruiserweights - the only shining light in the WCW, they have the talent but lack angles and direction. Hopefully Vince can combine their talent with stories and mic work to provide some exciting feuds.
The Big Guns - Let's hope the Big 4 (Rock, Austin, Angle and HHH) don't get pulled into the crossover stuff yet, Vince has to save some cards for further down the road. If he is thinking Goldberg/Austin it shouldn't be before next years Wrestlemania !
The Babes - Stacy from WCW is worth keepin, can she wrestle at all ? like to see her face off against Stephanie
Wrestlers to sack on the spot - Disco Inferno, alex wright, Luger and others

these are some opinions from a wrestling site
Who will Vince McMahon hire to "his" WCW? There are a ton of questions regarding this. Here is a list of the current talent listed on WCW.com. I will give my opinion on each one's chances of having a job with Vince's WCW.
Alex Wright- Slight chance. Once a good worker, has really done nothing as of late.
.
Arn Anderson- Will get a job 100 percent. He's a credit to our business, and will be a great agent to have.
Bam Bam Bigelow- Doubtful. I'm not sure if he left Titan on bad terms, but either way, can't see him getting a job.
Big Vito- WWF had him at a few camps a few years ago. Is known to have a lot of heat with a lot of the boys. Doubtful.
Goldberg- A sure lock. Vince will probably rework his contract, but there is no way a new WCW is gonna be ran without Goldberg.
Kidman- A sure lock. He's a superstar in the making, and I'm sure Vince can see that.
Booker T- A sure lock. He's money!
Brian Adams- Vince might be high on the Kronic gimmick, since he's always liked the big guys. Gave Adams enough chances in his career. 50/50 chance.
Brian Clark- See Adams.
Buff Bagwell- While he could be money in the bank, he's known for his locker room problems. Tough call.
Chavo Guerrero Jr.- 80 percent chance. He's a great worker, and being a family member of Eddie Guerrero can't hurt either.
Kaynon- Almost a sure bet. He's a great young worker, and I'm sure he'll be fine.
Chuck Palmubo- Almost a sure thing. He's young, big, and has the chance to be a star one day.
David Flair- While he's a bad worker, he's Ric's son. Vince and Ric have always been on good terms, so there's a 60-40 chance he'd get hired.
Dave Penzer- The new WCW will need a ring announcer, but will they add a new one to make it look fresher? Probably. Chances are slim.
DDP- A reworked contract, he'd almost be a sure bet.
Disco- He'll probably be okay, but not sure. 65-35 chance.
Demon- Doubtful.
Dustin Rhodes- Would the return of Goldust add a little spunk to the new WCW? Maybe. But without the Goldust gimmick, very doubtful.
Elix Skipper- Young, good worker. Real good chance, he should be okay.
Cat- While not a great worker, or even a good worker, he's over. I can see Vince liking him.
Evan Karagias- Good body, good look, not a great worker. 50/50 shot.
Fit Finlay- Start looking for a new job.
Gene Okerland- While he might not have heat with Vince, or maybe he does, it doesn't matter. A new WCW needs a fresh new interviewer, not an old guy. Highly Doubtful.
Glacier- Now taking Indie dates.
Hugh Morrus- He's a good talent, I can see him getting picked up. Good chance.
Jamie Knoble- Really good worker. I can see him getting picked up.
Jeff Jarrett- Real tough call. While he'd be great to have as a supporting player, I don't know if he burnt his bridge with WWF. I think Vince isn't down on him like Jim Ross is though. I'd still say 75 percent chance he'd get picked up.
Jim Duggan- Now taking Indie dates.
Jimmy Hart- A good hand to have. I'm sure he'll be picked up.
Johnny The Bull- Young, good luck, decent worker. I'm sure he'd fit into the new WCW.
Jung Dragons- Real good act. However, who knows how many guys Vince is gonna pick up. They don't draw, and aren't the biggest. Unsure.
Kevin Nash- Real tough call. If Vince and him still talk, I'm sure he's gonna have a spot. I'm sure Vince still views him as a star. I'd say 75 percent chance.
Konnan- I can see him getting picked up for sure. He'd say he's almost a sure lock.
Kee Wee- Good chance. Young, good worker, cool gimmick. 75 percent chance.
Lance Storm- 100 percent. A lock for sure!
Lash Leroux- While a good worker, will there be a good cruiserweight division in mind? If so, him, Knoble, and the others will get picked up. If not, then tough call.
Lex Luger- Go back to your gym.
Madusa- Now taking Indie dates.
Mark Jindrak- Good chance. Young, good luck, some talent. 70/30.
Midajah- Good chance. I'm sure they are gonna take Scott Steiner, and if so, she would be a great fit with him. They look good together. Depends on if Vince wants Scott.
Mike Awesome- I'd say a dead lock, but does Paul E. have heat with Awesome? If so, that might cause a problem. I'd still say he has a great chance of getting hired.
Mike Sanders- Great on the stick, good, young worker. Shouldn't have a problem.
Mike Tenay- Almost a sure bet.
M.I. Smooth- Now taking Indie shots...
Ms. Jones- No way.
Norman Smiley- Someone that used to be over, big time. Could still get over if pushed the right way. 50/50 shot.
Paul Orndorff- Don't know how he stands with Vince. Good be a agent if Vince is friendly with him, if not....... Taking autograph appearances...
Nitro Girls- 50/50.
Reno- While a good look, and young, he can't really talk. Tough call. 50/50
Rey Mysterio Jr.- 100 percent, money in the bank.
Ric Flair- 110 percent. He'll be a big part of it.
Rick Steiner- Now taking Indie shows...
Road Warrior Animal- Also taking Indie shows...
Scott Hudson- Good chance.
Scott Steiner- Vince should sign him up in a second. He's a big star.
Sean O' Haire- Sure bet.
Shane Douglas- Now taking Indie shows...
Sarge- LOL.
Shane Helms- 90 percent, really good chance.
Shannon Moore- See Helms.
Shawn Stasiak- Will Vince forgive and forget? Tough call.
Sid- No chance in hell.
Stacey Keibler- Really good chance.
Sting- I'm sure Vince always thought what he can do if he got his hands on Sting. I'd say 50/50, cause there has to be a little interest.
Stevie Ray- Taking those Indie shots..
Terry Taylor- He always lands on his feet. Almost a sure bet.
Tony Schiavone- Really though call. New WCW needs new head announcer? Sounds about right.
Wall- Not a great shot.
I'm sure Vince is gonna toss some of the ECW guys into the new WCW also. Also, sign Crowbar back up for sure. Things should really heat up in the business in the next few weeks. This is without a doubt the biggest news story in the history of our business that we are dealing with right now.

well this is the correct forum.. anyhow...
I doubt vince is going to keep Nash. he burned bridges
I sure as hell hope they don't do any cross overs just yet. remember, if they do, any angle going into wrestlemania will be in danger.

well here is the list of wrestlers who's contract are now the property of WWF:
Lance Storm, Sean O'Haire, Mike Awesome, Chuck Palumbo, Miss Han****, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, Mike Sanders, Hugh Morrus, Billy Kidman, Elix Skipper, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Shawn Stasiak, Kaz Hayashi, Yang, and Mark Jindrak.
the guarenteed contracts where the ones WWF didn't get since they have to be resolved with Time warner, but The WWF is said to be interested in some of the wrestlers who have guaranteed deals including Booker T, Dallas Page, Ric Flair, and Goldberg.

What a sad day....
I know of big fish eating little fish, and WCW was ripe for the pickings. Its sad that it is Vince picking up the company.
I will watch the first few shows to see how "seperate" they will run WCW, but I don't think they will fool to many fans as this kind of news spreads to fast. Especially when/if we see wrestlers "cross over" for angles and such.
The best way to keep me as a viewer will be to have better storylines/angles while keeping the integrity of the "old" WCW intact.

Vince has gone on record as saying the following people are going to have one-hell-of-a time getting into WWF Entertainment ...
Kevin Nash
Scott Hall
Hulk Hogan
Lex Luger
Scott Steiner
Dustin Rhodes / Goldust
Jeff Jarrett
Talents or not, if Vince doesn't like 'em ... they're not getting in. Period.

Here's some more info for y'all
--------------------------------------------------------
-- The WWF has reserved satellite time for Monday night and the plan at this stage is to have some interaction between RAW and Nitro (as speculated on earlier) and the WWF is expected to have 3 wrestlers at Nitro. Some segments may be shown on both RAW and Nitro.
-- A WWF representative from the production team will be on hand for Nitro. Apparently the WCW production team has perked up at the announcement and will be doing their best to try and impress the representative to try and keep their job during this period.
-- The WWF has purchased every WCW trademark including the nWo gimmick and the PPV names.
-- Word has it that they might only plan to run one inter-promotional PPV in the long run instead of holding separate WWF and WCW events. However, with only one US wrestling PPV a month, that gives Vince McMahon major leverage on the PPV industry.
-- Time Warner has already formulated a plan on buying out the remainder of WCW's guaranteed contracts:
1) Wrestlers who are making less than $500,000 per year will be offered 70 cents on the dollar.
For example, if a wrestler was making $250,000 per year, they would be offered $175,000.
2) Wrestlers who make more than $500,000 per year but less than $1.5 million will be offered 40 cents on the dollar.
For example, if a wrestler was making $1 million a year, they would be offered $400,000.
3) Wrestlers who make more than $1.5 million per year will be offered 30 cents on the dollar.
For example, if a wrestler was making $2 million a year, they would be offered $600,000.
-- The wrestlers could turn down the offers and receive the remainder of their contracts in full, but that would mean they would not be free to go to the WWF.

i think 2 inter promotional PPVs per year is enough for sure with the WWF ones still happening 12 times a year and WCW ones say 4 times per year.
Raw and Nitro this week are must watches for sure ! expect both to rate through the roof !
guys is this making mainstream news ?

I think there should be 1 PPV a month in this fashion, 2 WWF then 1 WCW... as in, have one of the major wwf ppvs, a followup, and then a wcw one.. this way, a "major" wwf one gets to have a good 2 month buildup. Check this out:
JAN WWF Royal Rumble
FEB WWF in your house
MAR WCW
APR WWF Wrestlemania
MAY WWF in your house
JUN WCW
JUL WWf/WCW combined King of the Ring Tournament
AUG WWF Summerslam
SEP WWF in your house
OCT WCW
NOV WWF Survivor Series
DEC WCW
JAN WWF Royal Rumble

MAY WWF in your house

JUL WWf/WCW combined King of the Ring Tournament
AUG WWF Summerslam

well straight from Nash's mouth..
he wants to sit out the next 10 months of his contract left, and then after that he hopes to sign to the WWF
what a lame ass. i'm sure Vince will have nothing to do with his lazy ass!

He is buddies with Vince. The Cliq has always gotten along with Vince. Just watch some of the RF video shoot tapes. They admit it. That is why Shane Douglas was fired from the WWF. Vince was seen at an airport talking to Nash a few months back as well. Like I said, the only reason he might not get a job is b/c of the backstage problems he has been lately or his age.

he is old but his style has never been athletic so it may not be too big a factor

I would imagine that the WCW will have to share PPVs with the WWF for awhile. Their buy rights were horrible last year. However I would not be surprised if the WCW still gets to have Starcade. There is a lot of tradition there. WCW having their own PPV every three months may be a workable plan if the new version of WCW can get its ratings at a decent level. Vince said they would still only be one PPV a month for the time being.

Also, WWFE now owns all the copyrights and trademarks of WCW from at least 1989. SO they own the PPV names as well.
