....sucks. Not one laugh so far, and it's almost over. Zero clever and witty writing. Just let it die Fox, let it die....

I enjoyed this one 50 times more than last week's. In fact, it was pretty funny. BlockoLand was great!

Okay I didn't see last week's episode, but now I'm glad I didn't.

They bring the characters back, but not the good writing. It was all "look at dumb Homer make mistakes" and things made out of legos.

Wow, I thought it was the best episode all season. They didn't stretch all the jokes out.

It may have been one of the best (the comicbook guy episode was the best all season), but that says a lot about the quality of the show lately. The writing and scripts are absolutely bad compared to when the Simpsons was good.

I really liked this episode. Definitely the best I've seen this season next to the Comic Book Guy episode. I thought Duff-Man was great.

30% of it was good...

The Leg... err, BlockoLand portion had its moments, but the rest of the episode dragged after Homer tried to fix Bart up on a date.

This seems to be trend this season... they write a ten-minute opening story that's good, but when the 'theme' of the episode kicks in it goes downhill from there.

I like how in the Simpsons they start off the show with something that is totally unrelated to the rest of the show.

Overall, I liked this episode. There were some very funny moments in it.

No matter how bad any of the new episodes are, there's always a few people out there who will be going "today's episode is great!". I'm sorry, but anybody who thinks the current episodes are "great" don't have the taste to appreciate the comedic genius that made The Simpsons, in their prime, so classic. The writing used to be extremely clever and witty, not the stupid slapstick humor and "look at stupid Homer do stupid things!" 'comedy' that the Simpsons consists of these days. If the show always had the kind of comedy it does now, it would've never taken off. And it's not just the bad writing, it's the (most of the time) stupid plots and absolutely aweful dialogue timing.

Oh and I agree with adboy. Lots of the episodes start off fairly well, but then either go really nutty or plain downhill.

I find it funny how they start with something that's usually totally unrelated to the rest of the episode. We see that almost weekly now.

We are all entitled to our opinions!!

(Even if one of us keeps attacking us for them) I thought this week's episode was the best all season, and was freaking hillarious. Especially the bits at Blockland, and the bits with Duffman.

Take it easy there. Your opinion does not make you a better person than the others in this thread.

It is like the writers think they HAVE to trick us about the plot or something. Although I felt it was the best all season, it wasn't exactly a classic. I noticed a few times when jokes weren't just of similar type, but the exact same situation as before(like people photographing nothing of importance*). Other jokes are formed by making radical changes to the steady show 'The Simpsons' USED to be.

*Used before when Marge photographed the wood sidewalk in the ghost town and used again because Homer "lied" about the team move.

I can see how people would not like this episode, as it isn't one of the *The Best* Simpsons episodes, but it was a good episode in my opinion and was better than last week's.

"My lego t-shirt..."
"Don't you mean Block-o?"
"oh, yeah... Block-o, right."

You gotta be kidding! This was one of the best episodes of this season so far. I agree there's been a few shows that could have been better lately, but to say let it die??? I hope The Simpsons goes on for another 10 seasons. As far as Homer and his stupid slapstick humor go, that's what makes this show so damn funny! Let's face it the dumber Homer gets, the funnier the show gets.

I think it's great that we can and do expect so much of the "Simpsons." Personally, I liked the episode. It wasn't a classic by any means, but it is still more fun than most of what is on TV.

I thought today's episode was pretty good. The storyline reminded me of season's past and it was damn funny too.

I saw some comments that the show has degraded overall. I somewhat agree, but it's hard to compare it to previous seasons as there was some genious at work back then. Setting the standars high. It's still one of the best shows on TV. If you don't think so, then why watcH?

I thought the episode was pretty good, but I agree that it's nowhere near as good as the episodes from a few years ago. You gotta admit, though, the Snoopy reference was hilarious!

Now that the Sopranos shifted back to the 9pm start, I watched the Simpsons last night. Blockoland was pretty good, but then, ugh. If this episode is indicative of the writing for this season, then I haven't been missing anything. The Simpsons clearly hit the wall after Season 7 (the Who Shot Burns episodes).
