Yes, I am a big fan of the Robot Wars. I remember hearing that MTV had signed a deal to make an american version of Robot Wars to kinda beat the hell outta the Battlebots idea on Comedy Central. The RW comcept is tried and true and seeing it come home to America would be sweet.
I saw the same episode twice while I was in England and Ireland. The Irish one was in Gaelic! Philippa Forester is gone and been replaced by another woman in an identical outfit. I have no idea when that series (Series 4) or the season that preceded it (Series 3) will be run on PBS. (The episodes seen on PBS so far are all series 2.)
Hey, there's also Robot Wars toys in England now, so you can own your own Roadblock, Matilda or Sir Kill-A-Lot!

Ever see a show live? I was at the taping of the san francisco battlebots series and it is a lot of fun! Makes me want to build my own robot someday.
I want to call it Bob.

I can't believe that! Our local PBS station has interrupted Robot Wars for 2 weeks straight for a telethon, but has spent the entire telethon showing Red/Green and Black Adder, which, while i like those shows, i wait all week for Robot Wars. Its the only show i watch regularly.
