Another vote for Newsradio. It was one of the most intelligent comedies I've ever seen, but the public wants six twenty-somethings with looks and nothing to do instead. Even if Lovitz did replace Hartman, he did a good job and Dave Foley was great in it. Oh well......
Some of the funnier plot lines for the show happened during the Lovitz episodes. I thought the three-parter where Jimmy James was arrested because they thought he was D.B. Cooper was hilarious.

That would be Maximum Bob with Beau Bridges, a NX-like show with the same fish-out-water concept. It was loosely based on Elmore Leonard's 1991 novel.

Danny in Yorktown, VA.

I don't think we should include shows that have lived there lifetime (4+ years). Those shows were canceled because they got old. Shows that were not givin a chance should only be said...Just My Opinion

Young Americans on the WB.
Heh, yeah, it was pretty good.

B.J. and the Bear was great, but I don't remember the Enos show at all. If was on in 1981, then it was on during the DoH. Do you know what night it was on?

I don't remember. I think it was on Tuesdays. That's the reason he left Hazzard!

Can't believe only two people have mentioned Homicide so far.

And yes, Wonderland deserved better.

Quantum Leap -- except for the Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and Evil Leaper season, it was a truly great show.

Another vote for "Quantum Leap."

And I can't believe nobody has said this one. "Moonlighting." That show was incredible.

Not really cancelled, but of course "Seinfeld."

Sports Night was Great
Also one I haven't seen mentioned:
FreakyLinks
It was on Fox, got cancelled, picked back up and now I think it is cancelled again. It was a good X-Files type show without being to serious.
