I love this show. Why can't our president be more like Jeb Bartlett?

Wow! The second reply to the first thread on this forum. I have never watched West Wing, but it looks good (excellent ratings too).

It's excellent. I'm glad my girlfriend made me watch it once. I've been hooked ever since.

I doubt we'll EVER have a president like Jeb Bartlett, but it sure would be great!

I'm actually not a big fan. I think I get too much of my fill on politics, so I just don't want to watch a show based on it. However, I do enjoy The District.

Can we talk about how god-awful boring it is?

Not to be nit-picky, but isn't his name JED Bartlett? (short for Jedediah)


Anyway, count me in as a major fan of this incredible show. I can't remember if I've ever seen writing like this on television (I didn't watch Sports Night when it was on, sadly). And what great characters. I love Bradley Whitford, and it's really nice to see him not playing the obligatory jerk role. And Sheen... wow. I remember when I heard about this show, I thought "Martin Sheen on a tv show? His carreer must be gong nowhere." How glad I am to be proven wrong! He's just incredible!

It is Jed, but it's short for Josiah.

Tonight's episode deals with a Presendential pardon. Wonder where they got the idea for that.

Doubt it. I'm sure it was filmed (or at least written) before Clinton's last days in office.
