..suck ass? I mean seriously, is this stuff supposed to pass for comedy? They have washed-up celebrities playing musical chairs. But here's the catch....the chairs have whipped cream on them! Oh man, comedic genius that is.
And really, Jay Leno is not that much of a funny man, and the show it just boring. He's a joke compared to Conan, and how the hell did Leno win the spot on the tonight show over Letterman? Oh well, just a little rant. Leno and the tonight show suck. that is all. Waiting for Conan.:) |
Leno could be controlled, where Letterman couldn't. But you're right about the sucking.
|
Why you!!! I like Leno by the way :p:)
|
Sucksville. I simply do not get why his show is so highly rated. He's an idiot.
|
I don't mind Leno too much, but I watch other things. I like Conan the best.
|
Whoa, I thought you were arguing with yourself. "dvd-man" -- "tha_dvd_man." What's up wit dat?
|
lol!
|
The only redeeming part of the show is monday's Headlines...but that's just stuff they find in the paper and people send to them. I think the show just has bad writers. Not very witty at all, and not very not daring or innovative one bit. Totally mediocre and dull. The guests always bore me too, no matter how famous they are.

X- what exactly do you mean Leno could be controlled whereas Letterman couldn't?

Yeah, Leno is boring.
Conan is a bit better. I think Kilborn is pretty good. |
Conan, a bit better? Conan is infinately better than Leno. He's a hell of a lot more clever, smarter and wittier than Leno. Although that's not saying much, since Leno is one of the most overrated and overappreciated talk show hosts ever. I've never watched Kilborne's show though.....I watched the Daily Show when he hosted it; I think John Stewart is better for that show.

The only one we get down here is Letterman and he's pretty funny!

Where's "down here"?

Conan puts the rest to shame.
|
.... + Letterman.
|
Leno sucks and stole a lot from Letterman (who also stole some from old-timers).
Letterman used to be great back in the '80s, but he kinda sucks now too. It's almost painful to watch him. :grunt: |
Yeah that is true. At least Conan is original.
|
Ive said this many times. I HATE LENO and CONAN IS THE BEST!!! Leno is extremely over-rated and his show sucks. His bits are lame and he messes up all the time. For god sake he called The Rocks People Eyebrow--The Human Eyebrow. I live here in NY and ive been to see Conan's show like3 times and hes the funniest. He goes out to talk to the audience before it tapes and hes great. Hes funny and off the wall original. He even gave me and my GF autographs after the show. Hes the man!!! |
I noticed it too. Leno is starting to suck. I like conan more.
|
I think the thing is that Leno is playing to the "older" audience, for reasons I can't determine except that he (and the producers) consider that his strong suit. Conan (who I didn't really like nor dislike but is starting to grow on me) plays to the younger audience, but I think is less exclusive of the older audience than Leno is of the younger audience. Letterman seems to play to the age group that would have been "younger" when he started, so I guess he'd be the "middle age" audience. I love Letterman, especially since his surgery, he seems to have a new perspective on his work. But the BEST late night personality is Triumph, the Insult Dog Comic (from Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien). Ohmygod, he is hilarious! He should replace Leno, then all would be well and good.

Leno sucks major ass.
|
My wife has always been a Leno fan, but I think he is excruciatingly bad. I think I have finally swayed her over to Letterman, though.
Conan is on after my bedtime, but the few times I've seen him, he's been pretty good. |
