Golden Globes 2026

Has the Golden Globes always had two commentators
during the broadcast?

Just seems kinda odd to hear commentary about the winners
during the show...

What was the point of the UFC needing to be there?

Probably promoting Paramount Plus's exclusive UFC deal.

I found the commentary really weird too.

Pretty good show. They spread the wealth around nicely. Man the Globes sure love Spielberg don't they? Didn't see that Hamnet win coming. One Battle keeps rolling along
The Secret Agent gets some heat after this.

The Globes TV awards have a real redundancy issue. Except for Rhea Seehorn and Michelle Williams, every TV Drama, Comedy and Limited Series award went to the same person and show that won in September's Emmy Awards.

I've never heard of Hamnet until tonight.

And why are we using the thread from two years ago?

The thread title should be altered if no one is going to create a new thread each year.

Well it's been the #2 or #3 film in Awards circles all season. Nominated for SAG, PGA, DGA. The Best Actress race is gonna come down to Rose Byrne or Hamnet's Jesse Buckley (and both won tonight, so no clues given there(.
I had thought that it's poor Box Office Performance and getting some less than stellar reviews would hurt it, and Sinners had been surging with the criticism Awards, but these two big awards certainly help its chances.
Still it's hard to envision anything besides One Battle actually winning BP. It's a heavy favorite.

The Original Score Golden Globe was awarded to Sinners during a commercial break, you know, because they had to have a five-minute awkward sketch with the not-nominated Heated Rivalry guys.

And you heard of "The Secret Agent" and "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You"? I have not seen a lot of these films yet, but as a film lover, I've read about them online. And I'm always reading reviews and following the end of the year critic's awards.
