June Lockhart R.I.P.
Iconic screen mom June Lockhart passed away at the age of 100 on Thursday, October 23. She is best remembered for her portrayal of Timmy's mom on Lassie, and, of course, as the mom on Lost In Space. She had a long career, moving from movies to stage back to movies and then to TV. She was in several high profile movies as a teenager and young adult, including Sergeant York, Meet Me In St. Louis, and All This and Heaven Too. She even appeared on Babylon 5 in 1994. From all accounts she genuinely was that kind, caring mom you saw on TV. 100 years is a pretty amazing run!

I'm not much of a classic TV fan to know her work but enjoyed her performance as the Grandma in Holiday in Handcuffs. RIP

Loved her since childhood.
Interestingly, she made her film debut in A CHRISTMAS CAROL (1938) as the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cratchit--who were played by her actual parents, Gene and Kathleen Lockhart!

Re: June Lockhart R.I.P.
June Lockhart was a fan of Rock and Roll, which was a surprising contrast to her wholesome TV persona from shows likeLassieandLost in Space. Her Lost in Space co-star Bill Mumy revealed she loved rock music, particularly David Bowie, and was even a fan of the Allman Brothers band. Lockhart herself confirmed this interest, stating in interviews that she, "Loved rock 'n' roll and going to concerts."
She was one of a kind.
Although, Anne looks even more like her mother as the years go by...

Petticoat Junction is basically unwatchable until she joins the cast for the last two seasons.

It was fun to watch her on Babylon 5. It would have been nice for her to have a scene with Bill Mumy, but it didn't fit the episode, so it didn't happen.
