Sad news. Even up to current times it was fun seeing him randomly play himself in Uncut Gems.

Amos died Aug. 21 in Los Angeles of natural causes, his son, K.C. Amos, announced.
Wonder why they waited so long.

As a kid, I was a huge fan of him in The Beastmaster. It was always a treat to see him pop up in movies.

RIP

I remember him from Die Hard 2.

I think something shady was going on with his family and the estate and the care he was receiving.

I didn’t watch Good Times, so I know him from Die Hard 2 as well. “I’m your kind of asshole.”

I was too. Loved the film growing up but the older I got, just give me Conan the Barbarian.

This reminded me that after Betty White died, I said that cast of the Mary Tyler Moore Show has been wiped out... and someone brought up John Amos still being alive - but I didn't think he counted as he was in only 13 episodes. If you counted him, then his death solidifies it now.

He did! Too bad he F'd up Good Times leaving.

I texted my family about his passing yesterday and my sister told me that he died in August. How does something take that long to come up?

Bad time for people who were in Eddie Murphy movies: John Amos, James Earl Jones, John Ashton

That's what I heard. That's what people are saying. Everyone is wondering why he is doing this terrible thing. That's all people are talking about.

Yep he died back in August but I believe the Family officially announced it on 10/1 so that's why it's been a big story. But as someone pointed out, there have been some accusations of Elder Abuse that was investigated and some current Family drama. :(

Welp. there's yer "Death in 3's". But let's be honest, anyone actor who dief around the same time as Maggie Smith will become a lesser news item. :(

Here's an article from last November about family drama
