Sorry spiderbite, thanks for playing. At least you can say that Bhanu was only the 2nd worst player in Survivor history.

I have never been happier to lose!

This should make my ass pay better attention to draft night now!

Sorry Goldberg74, that was a well edited blindside. It sure took me by surprise and Jem left with an idol in her pocket.

As the episode went on, I knew she was screwed and that Maria would double-down on getting her out.

I know I should be sad, but I'm glad she left with an idol in her pocket. She needed to go.

Oh yeah, I didn’t realize that Maria was going to use her extra vote on Jem.

Best moments of last episode:

Jeff announcing Bhanu got voted out and EVERYBODY nodding.

The last tribe to finish, known as Janu. Big burn by Jeff. That was catty and I loved it but I didn't know he was allowed to say things like that about a tribe as the host.

At the voting booth: I'm both terrified and nerding out at the same time.

Q, Hunter, and Tim doing the Brothatos and then someone saying at tribal councing it's not like we have a Q or a Hunter with Tim sitting right there.

Right when Charlie votes and exhaled and they showed Ben's face I knew my boy wasn't getting voted out, specially when he was the first vote. First names never get voted out unless they're the only ones getting voted on. Charlie looking around before votes are read, did the trial chat work??? Dit it work?? And now the others who voted for him are in an awkward minority. Maria said that thing about you can't go with your feeling to make Jem think Ben was getting voted out. The look on Jem's face, priceless. Jem was way to aggressive and playing too hard at their first tribal.

For sure. I can't pretend to know what it's like actually being out there, but I don't understand people who watch the show and don't see they shouldn't play hard on their first tribal.

Sorry Goldberg74, it’s rough losing your contestants in consecutive weeks.

Excellent episode. First, I'm shipping Benzie so much. Time to hit twitter when the season ends.

I have so much respect for Kenzie. She went there to play, she's a good player, she will lie when necessary, but she won't kick a human being when they're down. She'll still vote him out, but she'll be there as a human for him.

As the second tribal was going on I wonder if the Soda Venus thing was edited and the vote was my answer. That was all editing on Survivor's part, they did not hate each other much. Because of that editing I hated Soda with a passion but in that just one vote I now love her, I loved her reaction and exchange with Venus.

Good read on both tribals by Hunter and Charlie. I loved it when Hunter was checking out the handwritings and going through the two votes he knew he was going to get.

I love this season.

Sorry Decker, but at least you still have Tiffany.

Sorry davidh777, but at least you still have Kenzie.

Once again we’re seeing B picks outlast A picks.

Venus is annoying. Please go home next.

Re: The DVDTalk Survivor Game Spring 2024 Edition

That sucked, but Soda was clearly the wrong choice. She strikes me as someone who thinks she’s a good player but really isn’t.

This is the same week that I lost BOTH my picks last season. I breathed a sigh of relief when both Tim and Tiff were placed on the same team for the challenge.

Sorry chowderhead, thanks for playing. After that bizarre tribal I thought maybe there would votes on Q, but they stuck to the original plan.

How did this season turn into the Q show?

Sorry lwhy? Funny how Hunter was tricked into not playing his idol. I knew he was done when he didn’t play it. You still have Charlie at least.

And now for those of us with 2 picks, only the B picks survive. Amazing how that happens.

Sorry Decker, thanks for playing. Tiffany was yet another over confident player that took a hidden immunity idol home as a souvenir.

My takeaway from this episode is that Liz really would have liked some Applebees...Mmmmm....Applebees...

The switch on Tiff's face when the first wrong vote appeared.

I remember this one time one of my picks made it to the final 5. That was semi-exciting.

I'm in that zone where my player has a shot at being in the final three, but has ZERO shot of winning. They have a chance only because you want to take people to the end that no one will vote for.

I was this close to still having two players in the game.

I do like Kenzie and think she’s a good player, but can’t buy time through winning challenges and doesn’t really have a signature move. Her plan to take out Tiff was swiped, and her being left out of that may lead to her being a target.

Decker 05-04-24 02:34 PM

Re: The DVDTalk Survivor Game Spring 2024 Edition

It really feels like Maria is gonna win this, which sucks because she doesn't seem to be playing that great game, but she keeps finding herself in a position of strength and everyone seems to like her and for whatever reason, no one views her as a threat. I'd much prefer it if Charlie or Ben won.
