The Challenge: USA (CBS) - Season 2 - premieres 8/10/23
Departure Day for Season 2 is today. I'll post the cast when the full list is available. It looks like MTV Challengers will be on this season.

So is this a continuation of the previous Challenge USA (won by Danny and Sarah) with the winners going to the next season of Challenge World Championship?
Or is this essentially the next normal Challenge season?
I ask because season 1 had no past Challenge participants on it, and this season is loaded with them. Sure resembles a standard Challenge season other than it will be on CBS and have USA cast members only.

Also, season 39 of the MTV Challenge will film shortly after The Challenge USA season 2 wraps. I’m interested to see how many vets will do two seasons back to back. Wes and his wife just announced that they’re having a baby. I’m expecting him to take a long break or retire soon.

As far as I know this is a continuation of The Challenge USA with the winners moving on to the World Championship. It’s either going to be teams of two with one Vet and one rookie or Vets vs Rookies teams Cutthroat style. We’ll find out more as filming continues. They just left and will be quarantined for a bit before they actually start production.
I do understand why they would want to get people like Wes and Bananas on the CBS show though. It was strange watching S1 of Challenge USA and (outside of TJ hosting) having it connected to the Challenge franchise in name only.

Just seems odd that a bunch of the "legends" from S1 of the CWC could show up as plain old contestants on S2 of CWC.

Tori and Amanda are going at it on social media. Tori threw shade at Amanda and Amanda dug up a bunch of dirt on Tori.

Ugh. How old are the people? Are we still in high school?
And Amanda was one of the people I was alluding to in my prior post. She has been annoying since her debut. I never have cared for her and found her always hot tempered and shrill.

I vaguely remember being it mentioned but forgot they are airing this as two episodes a week until the end of August (then one a week). Thursday and Sunday.

Looking at the Survivor names not picked from recent season makes me think Survivor has some kind of rule that if you appear on the challenge you are ineligable for a future returnee season. Several people who were big charecters and strong challenge performers from the post Winners at War 40's seasons are not at all part of the Survivors picked.

So, if I understand this correctly... I can go on to Paramount+ at air time and the whole episode will be available to stream?
on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.
*Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers will have access to stream live via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live, but will have access to on-demand the day after the episode airs.

Last season they didn't show up until after midnight central time for me. The Paramount+ episodes were uncensored last year and they were censored on CBS. I paid for the highest tier. I guess we'll find out on Thursday.

Yeah, you should be able to watch it "live" by watching the live stream of your local CBS station on P+. Otherwise they don't put up episodes of prime time shows until some time after they've aired on the west coast.
