RIP: Annie Wersching (24, Bosch, The Rookie) - Dead at 45
Renee Walker was one of the best 24 characters.
Actress Annie Wersching, best known for her roles in the television shows 24, Bosch and Timeless, has died of cancer. Wersching was 45, her publicist confirmed.
She continued to shoot even after her 2020 diagnosis, with prominent roles in Star Trek: Picard and The Rookie.
Wersching’s husband, actor Stephen Full, issued a statement. “There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.
“As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. ‘I love you little family…’ “
Jon Cassar, director and producer of 24, also paid tribute. “My heart is broken in more pieces than I can count. Annie came into my world with an open heart and a contagious smile. Brandishing such talent, she took my breath away. Annie became more than a workmate, she became a real friend to me, my family and every cast and crew member that worked with her. She’ll be truly missed by them and the fans she always found time to interact with. Annie you’ll be missed, you left your mark, and we’re all the better for it.”
Wersching was born and raised in St. Louis by parents Sandy and Frank.
Survivors include her husband and children Freddie, 12; Ozzie, and Archie, 4.
A GoFundMe has been launched to support the family.

I was watching some “24” yesterday and was reminiscing about meeting Annie Wersching at a Sacramento Kings game in 2010, for a “24” fan event night. Probably my favorite celebrity meet-and-greet moment.
And I loved her on Timeless as well. Great on-screen characters and so respectable towards fans. She was the best.

I last saw her on The Rookie this season and she didn't look sick. Her character was a nemesis to Fillion's character. I'm just stunned by this.

Wow. In her recent appearances on The Rookie, she was obviously wearing a wig, and I googled to find out if she had cancer, because I found it hard to believe she had shaved her head for Picard, but I could not find any reference to it, so she kept it under the radar.
Really sad because she was a talented actress and hot Irish redhead.
Her first acting credit was Star Trek, so special

That's terrible news. Huge talent. She made a big impression on 24. Really lit up the screen and her performance as the Borg Queen on Picard was a highlight.

Sucks. I remember her from Bosch. I haven't seen her in anything else going by her IMDB page.
I find the gofundme for her kids a little weird. She and her husband probably aren't filthy rich, but I'm pretty sure they were well off and living very comfortably.
I'd rather see the 250k they're trying to raise go towards cancer research or a family who truly needs it.

Edit: Looks like her husband Stephen Full is a working actor well. So basically they were living paycheck to paycheck whenever they got work.

Went through my autograph book to remember the good times with Annie Wersching at the meet-and-greet event nearly 13 years ago...

Crap. I loved her in everything she did, be it 24, The Last of Us, or Star Trek: Picard. 45 is too damn young (I didn't realize I was slightly younger than her) and she will be missed.
