How is it that this show somehow has you rooting for one ISB agent over another, lol. I like that they are just hinting at what's to come with the mention of the Emperor and the seeds of dissolving the current government. Still can't figure out the direction they are going with Karn, but I get the feeling he may end up helping the Rebels.

Damn... I want to go Niamos. Absolutely, loved the music for that place. Hopefully, some YouTube Wizard gives us an extended version of the track.
Overall, another solid episode. I loved the exchange between Mon and her friend. If this series was on HBO, I'd almost expect her to call her husband a "dumb c**t"😆

I'm also expecting numerous reels and 30 sec YouTube videos of people losing their shit on how Qyburn pronounced Ord Mantell differently in his meeting with the other imperials....once with a " T" ( at the start) and then with a "D" 😆 ( at the end of the meeting).

I’m loving the pace of this show.
And the acting.
And the sets.
And the creatures.
And the writing.
😉

Don't watch if you haven't seen ep.7.

Really digging the Meero character. Call me crazy but I could see her actually wind up being a spy/Rebel collaborator if she keeps running into people trying to keep her down. Same goes for Karn - he’s doing meaningless work now.

I'm thinking Niamos is not current, but a flashback to Andor's prison time. Like the earlier sequences when he was a kid.

Didn't like the music in this episode, especially during the Niamos scene. I guess Clem was his brother? He was listed as Clem Andor in the credits.

Meh for this episode. I expect every 3rd episode to have action and excitement. Still amazed by the set design, costumes, and props though.

Didn't click with me until this episode but I'm getting a "No Man Is An Island", "For Whom The Bell Tolls" vibe now.
Andor is only concerned with himself. The Empire isn't his problem. The Rebellion isn't his concern. He participates in the robbery only because he's being paid.
Events will draw him into the conflict no matter how hard he tries to stay out of it.
Culminating with his losing his life for the cause in Rogue One.

Wulf Yularen? Well, that was a deep cut from A New Hope.
Edited to add: Oh yeah, and Rebels! Innnnnnteresting.

I love that some of those guys around the Death Star table ended up with lore.
We talk a lot about how this series is a "slow burn" compared to other Star Wars fare, especially the movies. But then I was watching The Empire Strikes Back yesterday and realized it's a full 25 minutes before the Battle of Hoth. Sure, there's the wampa attack and the probe droid, but that first 25 minutes is essentially talking, looking at computers, and making plans. That's 20% of a 124-minute movie, including credits. My point is, we've had slow burn Star Wars before and it was excellent.

I could definitely see a successful spin-off show that focuses on Luthen, Meero, Karn, Mon, Vel , Bix and Cinta that takes place during or after Rogue One ...assuming most of them (besides Mon) survive the events of Andor.

^^ I think those of us that love Andor would love your idea... I think the show would fail because most D+ customers don't have the patience beyond a Tik Tok video these days.
