I hope this will be a success for Rhea Seehorn. She's a really underrated actress. But, the vague and very bizarre promo campaign might be a turnoff for some.

Hopefully she's more successful than Odenkirk's post Better Call Saul career, which has been a really mixed bag. A follow up TV series that was a flop that no one watched and 2 action movies that also no one watched, but had decent reviews.

This is on Apple. I bet they care less about success than a network or a cable channel would.

Plus this was given a guaranteed 2 season order. I imagine if Apple likes the metrics they will renew it.

The videos posted upthread explain the basic premise. Some kind of infection has spread that makes people feel happy all the time. Except for one woman, who seems to be immune. The happy people can see that she is not like them and they feel compelled to 'fix' her and make her like them. She doesn't want to be like them because the happy people seem kind of weird and cult-like.

It seems to be a satirical sci-fi drama.

I'm getting serious Black Mirror/Severance vibes off what little I've seen so far.

I'm really not sure what to make of this after watching promo material and reading about it. BUT, it's Vince Gilligan, who is as strong a bet as anyone to produce a quality show, so I'll definitely tune in and give it a chance.

The limited information I have seen said it is a slow, slow burn. Which isn't a bad thing. But some people may be turned off by it

Finished first episode. Rhea is excellent as usual. Many shades of Body Snatchers, Children of the Damned, Twilight Zone's To Serve Man and Number 12 Looks Just Like You. I don't know how this will play out and whether it can hold interest over 2 seasons but awesome first episode.

What’s with Vince and Albuquerque? Anyway, these were a bizarre 2 eps. Not exactly sure what to make of them. It was indeed bizarre, but not yet sure in a good way or not.

Finished 2nd ep. Awesome! Tons of laughs in that one. Rhea is just nailing it here. "Casanova McBoner" living it up and definitely enjoying the perks.
