So far 2 for 2 on Vader in the posters... I'm almost certain we will only get Vader during the last 10 seconds of Episode 6.

Some surprisingly violent stuff for a D+ series. Stormtrooper falling to pieces…force neck snap…pretty good episode, probably since there was a little less Reva.
And no mention of what happened to the Grand Inquisitor? Strange.
Oh yeah, and that guy showed up and was flaming mad.

Better, some nice visuals with Vader and the fire...and he looked and sounded like Vader, so a win there.
A lot of...hitchhiking, ships taking off and landing, and walking with little sense of urgency...there just isn't much happening. Leia apparently being uncatchable and again steering the episode is getting tiresome.
I have no idea who this other character is that was referenced, so there's no attachment at all. Maybe they should've been featured in the opening order 66 scene?
These 40minute piecemeal episodes are still just not satisfying on their own.

I did like the idea that once Vader saw Obi-Wan again, his first impulse was to set him on fire.
I also like the way Obi-Wan Kenobi (and Rogue One) handle Darth Vader. He's this black-cloaked force of nature that just swoops and tears everything up. From the perspective of the "little people" it must be absolutely terrifying to see him in action.
Another thing I liked is that they're also kind of hinting that Obi-Wan and Padme were lovers at some point. You can read between the lines of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith and pick up on it, and when Leia asked Obi-Wan if he was her real father -- and the look on Obi-Wan's face -- they really drove it home.
Agreed on the pacing. Getting the feeling that this would have worked much better as a two hour movie than a six part tv series.

This episode completely shit the bed in last 5 minutes or so. Nothing takes me out of a show or movie like throwing logic out the window in cheap service of going somewhere that the writers want to force the story, and this episode had a double whammy at the end. So after 10 years of hating and hunting for Obi Wan then finally having him captured, Vader immediately gives up because some random rebel shot a stormtrooper and he would've had to walk around a puddle of burning fuel? Nevermind the fact that he just stood there watching a droid walk up carry Obi Wan off. I mean, they literally had just finished showing what a badass Vader was, what with the snapping necks and throwing people around and knocking over a giant tower. Then, all of a sudden, they're like, 'addendum: he can't use the force on a walking hunk of metal 20 feet away.' That escape sequence was just painfully bad and made no sense.
Then they have Reva discover the tunnel to a port and somehow beat Leia there with enough time to spare to identify and kill the pilot who was going to help her, which was incredibly lazy writing just to have a dramatic moment to end the episode.
The exchange with the stormtroopers on Seth Rogen's transport was pretty bad too.
Stormtrooper: Why are you here?
Obi Wan: It's a long story.
Stormtrooper: That's ok, it's a long trip.
(45 uninterrupted seconds pass)
Stormtrooper: Alright, this is us. Later.
Hopefully this episode was a fluke, as I thought the first two were pretty strong.

... or I'm completely wrong and Vader is terrified of FIRE.
Didn't care for the Reva part.... I wouldn't be surprised if there's some Youtube wizard working on a "Reva-less" fan edit we speak.
... but yeah, that part was lazy.

Yeah, in retrospect, there's a ton of dumb shit like this and not just in this episode.

I get it that Vader now sees Obi-wan as totally weak. His duel was akin to the fight with Vader in ANH and not ROTS. Towns people deaths were not as brutal as Anakin killing Tusken Raiders though these poor folk didn't bear the full brunt of his rage. And that rage keeps him from sensing his own daughter?

ep 1 and 2 were OK,
this was great. sure some total lapses in logic, but fuck me, seeing Vader and Obi-Wan go at it again. And Vader is like a god damned shark. So, so good.

Yep, I think that's a safe bet. I really hope this series isn't just serving up new spin off shows... feels like it might be heading that way. All we wanted was a series focused on Obi-Wan, and they either thought that wasn't commercial enough or they did not want to provide that - both are concerning. Hoping for some deaths in the end, just to provide some drama - or a surprise Obi-Wan continuation will work as well!

Hummm...if there's some Quinlan Vos I wonder if we get us some Ventress!
That character deserves a better close out then what happened in Clone Wars..
