Episode was 46 minutes and was paced really well.

Good set up to the series.

I’m only familiar with the 90s run of Moon Knight so this split personality stuff is new to me, but I dug it.

Let’s see where it goes.

Great performance by Oscar Isaac and some amusingly offbeat moments kept the episode entertaining even if it was a rather long build-up before finally getting to see Moony (briefly).

Grace Randolph, who saw the 1st four episodes, said the 1st episode was fantastic but the series goes downhill after that, but then again she loved the godawful The Kitchen with Melissa McCarthy and Wonder Woman 1984, so I still have high hopes for this series.

Wasn’t too impressed. Didn’t think it was too bad and I’ll continue to watch it. If it really goes downhill from episode one then it’s going to be terrible

I just have to add that F. Murray Abraham as the voice of Khonshu was a stroke of genius casting. I thought he had passed away.

He's amazing on Mythic Quest; Apple TV+ series.

I actually thought that too until fairly recently when I saw him pop up in something.

Decent start... a little scattered-brained... but that was the point. It was mentioned elsewhere, but this would've benefitted from a two-episode launch.

The CG during the car chase was pretty bad.

Was that Platt's and Teixeira's signature in the apartment elevator?

Great start to the show, I really enjoyed it.

Oh wow, I'm quite familiar with his 80s run but checked out of reading Marvel comics by the early 90s, I assumed that the split personality angle was always an important part of the character, but I guess not.

Good start. Promising. Let's see where it goes, although I have not been impressed with Marvel's D+ (save for WandaVision and Loki). The rest has been meh to bad. Still, an intriguing set-up.

Was alright, kind of tropey. Reminded me of something, I can’t quite place my finger on it. Darkman?

Now that is how you open a show. Frickin' loved it! So much fun. Love the Britishness of it, dweebish Oscar Isaac, creepy Ethan Hawke, the crazy time jumps. This thing was a blast start to finish.

Good first episode. That highway speed chase was atrocious, though. Jesus, you'd think they'd stop with those or put actual money into them. I loved the stuff in the museum and all that crazy shit going on in the peripherals. The sharp edges of the character and even that poster from the first post look to have retained some of S.PLATT's aesthetic for the character. Isaac and Hawke were good, as well. F. Murray Abraham's voice sounded like Liam Neeson at first to me - but glad he's onboard - my subwoofers loved the low-end bass on that. The 4K DV / Atmos was stellar.

It only shows as 5.1 for me?

I viewed on the ATV4K. I just finished watching it like 15 minutes ago, too.

I quite liked it. Not sure about Ethan Hawke but love how game Oscar Isaac is in this role/roles. The flashing in and out of consciousness bit was really awesome and my favorite thing in the episode.

Disney+ on the Android TV/Fire TV platforms (use the same app) has issues. Vizio uses the Android TV app as their built in app so you might have issues there as well.

I think they are in the process of fixing it. It’s been this way for over a year now.

Love it or hate it but that was one of the coolest bathrooms I've ever seen in a TV show.

I hope this one can stick the landing. These shows set up intriguing premises/mysteries and rarely fulfill their potential.

Like laughably bad. Absolutely atrocious even for Marvel standards.

Randolph is good at breaking some news here and there and her rumors are sometimes accurate, but her takes on content don't always mesh with mine.

Knew nothing about this beforehand. First episode has me intrigued.

I love Egyptian lore, so that got me hooked.

I thought it was fun, if a bit disorienting, but that was kind of the point. I know nothing about the character's history. Hopefully in the next episode we'll get some answers to what's actually going on with Steven/Marc and the voices and visions.

Just caught episode one. I had zero expectations because I know nothing about this character. But man I really liked it. The tone and random drop ins and drop outs were definitely keeping my attention. My only question after episode one is who will the gold statue guy end up being? Lol he's giving all this info to a statue performer, hoping it turns out to be someone that factors into the story.

It's only one episode so I will try and temper my expectations. But for me it's up there with Loki as the best Disney shows so far. Did not expect that.

The gold statue was credited as Crawley: https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Bertr...ey_(Earth-616)
