If a remake of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was made

I actually think these people would make a good cast for a reboot, if there will be a reboot for the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", tv show.

Either Elena Kampouris or Julia Garner (Buffy Summers)

Either Cody Bruno or Blake Jenner (Xander Harris)

Either Alice Greczyn, Mariah Buzolin, Victoria Justice, Anya Taylor-Joy or Alyssa Campanella (Cordelia Chase)

Either Sasha Mart, Olivia Grant, Lily Cole, Virginia Hankins, Liliana Mumy or Samantha Weinstein (Willow Rosenberg)

Rhys Ifans (Rupert Giles)

Sean O'Pry, Robbie Amell, Chad Michael Murray, or Jay Ryan (Angel)

Either Joseph Morgan or Toby Hemingway (Spike)

Amy Forsyth (Dawn Summers)

Lily Collins (Faith)

Either Amanda Barron, Alexandra Paul or Heather Graham (Joyce Summers)

Either Jessy Schram, Lauren Sweetser, or Nicole Patrick (Darla)

Laura Slade Wiggins (Harmony Kendall)

Either Annabelle Stephenson or Ashley Greene (Drusilla)

Brett Zimmerman (Riley Finn)

Who do y'all think who could play each of the characters on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer?"

Outside of Anya Taylor-Joy, Alexandra Paul, and Heather Graham, I don't think I could pick any of those people out of a line-up. I haven't even heard of over half of them. (Looked up Rhys Ifans, and he played Luna Lovegood's dad, so I remember him, too.)

If I were to make a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, I think go in a darker, more horror direction. Lots of sex/nudity, drugs, and violence. Sort of like Euphoria with vampires, witches, and assorted ghoulies. Though I strongly doubt Disney would go for it.

Yeah I’ve heard of two or three of these people. I’m guessing that’s a good thing. This sounds about as bad as that Teen Wolf tv show.

We've already kind of seen a darker, more mature Buffy - the long-running The Vampire Diaries. The genre has been mined pretty heavily over the past 20 years.

I don't know that I would consider the Vampire Diaries darker or more mature than Buffy.

How many of the original Buffy cast had you heard of when the show premiered? It seems like a show designed to start with unknowns.

Not that this can't be a fun mental game, but if they did do a reboot I would hope that did a completely fresh take on Buffy and all the characters.
As is, you're not really thinking about recasting, for example, Willow. You're thinking about recasting Alyson Hannigan's Willow. Like who could be a new, younger version of that character that we already know.
Gellar wasn't famous, but she had already won a Daytime Emmy. I read that they were very close to casting a completely unknown Katie Holmes right out of high school as Buffy.
Can you imagine Buffy as a tall brunette? I guess they could.

I could totally see that. Really amp up the horror elements , make Buffy more morally grey, make it scary and boundary pushing adult and then juxtapose that against some of the humor elements and keep the banter.
