I’ve forgotten how much I have missed smart funny Steve Martin in my life (as opposed to slapstick or romcom Steve Martin). How long has it been? Shopgirl (2005) I guess. He’s so fun to watch. One of my all time favorite comedians. The bit with the ..,found object…in the freezer? 
Has Nathan Lane ever played more than his one signature role? In everything he does (and Lord does he work a lot) he’s playing the same guy.
I was wondering why Amy Ryan appears in the opening credits. It took three episodes to even see her in one scene. Hopefully she gets a bigger part in later episodes.

5 minutes into episode 3 and I’m over it. I don’t care for the quirky storytelling techniques and especially not the theatrical play quirk.
I’m fine with the actors though.

Well, this one surprised me. I expected it to be o.k.at best, but this is a great show. Every single person on it is fantastic. And Short, Marin and Gomez work beautifully together.

It's a fun show so far but I don't think it needs all the character backstory (like Gomez having a past with the killed guy). The random three of them teaming up only because of their love of murder podcasts would have been enough to keep it going, IMO.

I think the fact that all three have secrets that they are hiding from each other makes it way more interesting.

Made it through 1.5 episodes with the wife and she pulled the plug because she didn’t care about the mystery and thought the humor was fairly mediocre. I mostly agree with her, but will probably keep watching on my own just out of the enjoyment/curiosity of seeing Martin and Short in what will likely be some of their last performances.

The frozen cat thing and that whole scene in the apartment had my wife and I laughing hysterically. Good stuff.

I wasn't feeling this show so much during the first 3 episodes but this 4th one grabbed me. I loved Martin's story with Amy Ryan, and the payoff with Bugs and Porky. The Sting stuff was funny. And I almost am starting to give a damn about the mystery. Plus, you can't go wrong with a scene with Tina Fey. I also just enjoy the comedy of a millennial woman trying to be friends with these two old men (The guy from U2?).
