From first-time creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, HBO's new eight-episode drama series INDUSTRY debuts MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) and follows a group of young graduates competing for a limited number of permanent positions at a leading international bank in London. The series will air on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max.

Starring Myha'la Herrold ("The Tattooed Heart"), Marisa Abela ("Cobra"), Harry Lawtey ("City of Tiny Lights"), David Jonsson ("Deep State") and Nabhaan Rizwan ("Mogul Mowgli") as "The Graduates" and Conor MacNeill ("Artemis Fowl"), Freya Mavor ("Skins"), Will Tudor (HBO's "Game of Thrones") and Ken Leung (HBO's "High Maintenance") as "Management," INDUSTRY gives an insider's view of the blackbox of "high finance" through the eyes of an outsider, Harper Stern (Myha'la Herrold), a talented young woman from upstate New York. Through the eyes of these young grads fueled by ambition, romance and drugs, INDUSTRY examines issues of gender, race and class in the workplace as the impressionable new employees begin to forge an identity within the pressure cooker environment of Pierpoint & Co.'s trading floor. It is coming back on Aug 1, 2022.

Could it blow up like Euphoria and Succession and become a water cooler show?

I'm two episodes into season one and I'm really liking it. Marisa Abela is quite stunning. This is also a lot of equal opportunity nudity in this which I found surprising.

Funny enough, it does seem like HBO is trying to get this show into the zeitgeist. At the end of the Succession finale, they had it pop up as the next recommended show. They are running marathons on some of the HBO channels. They’ve also put money into casting for the third season and have Kit Harrington and Sarah Goldberg joining. I don’t know how much good it will do if they keep it on Mondays and don’t move it to Sunday.

I still need to watch Season 2.

Reviews for this season have been pretty great. I’m glad they decided to move the show to Sundays. We’ll see if the new cast additions and timeslot help with getting this more recognized.

What an opener. One of the things I love most about this show is the sound. And they also use great music. Love the Opportunities at the end.

Also love an unexpected death. John snow is short is he ?

Sounds like the changes are paying off...

The third episode of Industry‘s new season paid big dividends for HBO and Max.

The high-stakes, even higher tensions finance drama’s Aug. 25 episode racked up approximately 370,000 cross platform viewers, marking an all-time premiere-night high for the HBO series. (Read our post mortem interview with Myha’la and others.)

Industry‘s Season 3 premiere, which debuted Aug. 11, is currently tallying 1.4 million viewers with delayed viewing, pacing well ahead of last season’s opener (which reported 900,000 viewers during a similar window).

My wife and I are just starting this. Four episodes in. Really do like it. Seems like a well made show. Certainly more nudity than necessary, but a very good and interesting start for sure.

Is Marisa Abela a big part of the scenes with nudity?

Two big parts.

I don't follow the stock market and have no ideal what it about. Mariisa Abela is a hottie.

There's a big deal transaction thing that happens in S1E4 and I couldn't understand what happened at all. I had to hit an online synopsis to figure it out, and even they weren't totally sure.

Well it took us a month, but we made it through the entire series so far. I love it. Third season was easily the best.
The finale was so, so good — and so dense in story. Felt like a season more than an hour. Just incredible. Don’t know where they will go next, but I am certainly excited to find out. In two years

Looking forward to this coming back. I'll probably rewatch the whole series before it comes back.
