I'll check out NeXt and patiently waiting for Amazing Race

Re: Notable 2020 Fall TV premiere dates -- The Coronavirus devastated edition
I didn't realize that FX already announced that American Horror Story wouldn't be returning until 2021, presumably at its normal time of year. Actually a break of a year will probably be good for this show.

Re: Notable 2020 Fall TV premiere dates -- The Coronavirus devastated edition
I'm surprised CBS hasn't announced a Premiere date for The Amazing Race. They have been sitting on one season for over a year.

Re: Notable 2020 Fall TV premiere dates -- The Coronavirus devastated edition

Tigtone returns with season 2 on Adult Swim September 13 at midnight ET. If you haven't seen it, check out season 1. I love the unpredictable insanity of this show...very dark but also very clever.

Re: Notable 2020 Fall TV premiere dates -- The Coronavirus devastated edition
For lack of anywhere better to mention this...
FX is quietly burning off a documentary miniseries "A Wilderness of Errors" on Friday nights. The final two episodes air Friday. "Wilderness" is based on a 2018 book by noted Documentarian Errol Morris which revisits the case of Jeffrey MacDonald, which was detailed in the decades-old book "Fatal Vision" and subsequent NBC miniseries. MacDonald was convicted of the vicious murders of his wife and children (MacDonald was also found wounded but obviously survived). MacDonald claimed three acid-tripping hippies attacked the family. "A Wilderness of Errors" offers another look at the case, and the possibility of MacDonald's innocence. I was engrossed by Joe McGinness's book, but never saw the 1984 production starring Gary Cole. I'm certainly curious about the case and what this new series might offer as an alternative. I was surprised to discover the last two episodes of "Wilderness" coming up Friday, -the first I heard of it. I started watching the 90-minute first episode On Demand, but I started drifting during the commercials. If they repeat it on the regular channel or it ends up on Netflix, perhaps I'll take another run at it. |

^For anyone that missed it while airing on FX, it's also available on Hulu. I added it to my watch list the other day, but haven't started it yet. I've been binging Pen15 instead. :)

Showtime debuted a 5-part documentary series "The Comedy Store" Sunday, October 4.

Re: Notable 2020 Fall TV premiere dates -- The Coronavirus devastated edition
Small correction to the original list. Netflix has 2 BBQ shows. One a Chefs Table, the other is the competition series, which we watched. It’s not great, but gets better as the season progresses. If they did a second, some tweaks could make it really strong.
Also, Soulmates on AMC premiers tonight. I’ve set it to record, although not sure what to expect as it’s an anthology series. However, it’s getting some good buzz. |

The final season of Showtime's "Shameless" will premiere on Dec. 6th. There doesn't seem to be any indication on whether there will be a mid-season break of any kind like they did previously.

Re: Notable 2020 Fall TV premiere dates -- The Coronavirus devastated edition
I am posting as this will serve as a reminder that I still need to set a lot of shows up to record on my X1 box (I recently replaced a tivo that went dead on me). It looks like Nov is when a bunch of stuff I want to try or currently watch starts to air. Twikoff, yes...I watched the 1hr Goldbergs premiere and it had its moments.
