Shows you originally saw and then re-discovered?
I saw Cougar Town in it's entire original run. i loved it. i know it kinda limped along, but made it 6 seasons, i think. I mean it's Bill Lawrence who i really think is a genius. this, Scrubs (one of my favorite of all-time), Spin City, Undateable (which i loved), he's brilliant.
i'm watching it from beginning again and having time of my fucking life!! Brooklyn Nine-Nine was previous, but more recent so not as fresh...
so, what did you rediscover, like watching for first time?

I saw reruns of Three’s Company as a kid, probably right after it ended. I hated it. I hated the weird 70s atmosphere and the ridiculous misunderstandings of the characters.
It it was only much later, as an adult, that I could appreciate the performances and comic timing. Don Knotts as Mr. Furley was the best.

To an extent I would say The Simpsons. I watched it a lot when I was younger until about season fifteen or sixteen. I fell off watching it probably for like five or six years. Started to watch the new episodes again and really started to watch again when FXX picked it up and started doing the marathons.
Starting to do the same with The Office. I watched until about season four and quit watching. Have been watching reruns and recently bought the complete series on DVD.

I'm confused by the re-discovered part. I watched and loved Pushing Daisies in its original run and am giving it a rewatch with my kids now. I didn't remember much so does that count?
Getting ready to revisit Wonderfalls after that which I remember even less of. So maybe that one will apply better.

I saw the pilot for Babylon 5 and figured the series would be cancelled after a couple of episodes. Later, when I saw it was still on the air and into its 2nd season, I started watching it.

MeTV is great for this. For me, most recently at least, Barney Miller. I recall enjoying it quite a bit, even though I was too young to catch all the humor. Now, it's even better that I catch all the asides.

Rewatched all of Seaquest DSV recently, show had the potential to be a good Trek clone, but they retooled it during the 2nd season and it became complete garbage.

What a weird thread topic. So basically what show have you ever rewatched?

I don't think I've ever rewatched a show I didn't enjoy the first time around.

I also rewatched Buck Rogers on NBC (in 1080p) and while it looked great, also the 2nd season was terrible. So that just goes to show I had bad taste when I was younger.

I think the Op is referring to shows that you maybe watched and enjoyed years ago and then maybe hadn't thought about again since it went off the air and maybe remember very little about the storylines or individual episodes.

A few years ago a started to watch Riptide. I like the show when it was first aired as a kid, but hadn't seen it in many years. I picked up the DVd set on the cheap when I saw it at a local discount store. I only got through the first season of it, but it is still somewhat enjoyable.

In his original post he talks about a show he loves by a creator he loves and then says he rewatched it and still loves it.

I don’t think it’s that hard to figure out. It sounds like he’s basically asking what shows did you like that you stopped watching for one reason or another and gone back to and re-found your liking of it.

I don't know what's going on in this thread, so I'm going to say Brisco County, Jr. I saw it years ago and liked it. I forgot all about it until recently, and started rewatching it. I still like it, but I don't remember much about it at all.
