Only an eight episode season? That is kind of weird.

Anyways, looking forward to seeing this.

HBO has been doing 8 to 10 episodes a lot recently.

Seems like a good show to watch as the world crumbles down around us.

Yes but they tend to be pretty consistent in episode count from season to season, with the obvious exception of Game of Thrones at the end. And Westworld was 10 episodes in Seasons 1 & 2.

I just rewatched the feature film length S2 finale and was reminded of just how convoluted the story had gotten. But since it is making a significant transition most of that will hopefully fall away. But I was also reminded just how much I couldn’t stand Delores. Unfortunately I can’t see how she is not the central figure of S3 so that does not bode well.

Haven’t watched the first couple seasons yet, but I saw the preview with Aaron Paul and was interested. Might try and see if I like the show or not.

It's a puzzle box show. You would be totally lost starting in Season 3. I wouldn't recommend that. Aaron Paul is a Season 3 addition.

Yeah, I meant starting at season one. I know enough about it to know it’s not something to just jump into during the third season.

I really liked season 1 but had to push myself to finish season 2. By the end it just seemed all over the place and didn’t know where to go. I guess there was a big enough gap between these seasons that I’m looking forward to this. I hope they re-boot it a bit. 😉

Season 1 was awesome. Season 2 was a massive mess of letdown... Hopefully Season 3 redeems the show.

Did a binge of S1 and 2...and I agree pretty much across the board... it's actually very similar to Lost imo, despite a much bigger budget, it fell into the same trappings as that show...the larger it went, the smaller the show became...the magic basically had worn off. Whenever a new part of the island was revealed, it lessened the world....and it wasn't earned as much as what came before. That said, certainly looking forward to this season, hoping the show can transform itself.

Good start. It had a blade runner/terminator feel to me (that’s a compliment). Aaron Paul was good as usual. Not sure about where they’re going with Thandie Newtons story. I’m a little burnt out on that topic.

I watched the open on the s3ep1 and don’t remember about 90% of what was in that opening.

It has me questioning if I even finished watching season 2 but I’m pretty sure I did.

Started watching the last ep of s2 and I can’t remember any of it.

How long ago was it since last season finished?

I understood about 15% of what happened in tonight's episode.

Or WWII World. Her character didn't escape the park so they just put her back in service in another section of park. She's probably still self aware, remembers everything, and able to control the other robots though. She wondered where she was. If she wasn't self aware she would have woken up in character.

I actually enjoyed this more than I was prepared to. Evan Rachel Wood can act the hell out of a short, tight skirt.

At least it wasn't what came to dominate the last two seasons in which they endlessly circled the West Texas desert (located in the South China Sea) speaking in riddles.

I was prepared to hate it as well but they actually seem to moving in a forward direction this season and the post credits scene was epic.

Shit... I didn’t even realize there was one.

That is way too significant to have in a post credits scene.

This episode was leagues better than any part of last season. Very much looking forward to more after this excellent season starter.
