You have to wonder how that kind of trick gets messed up in the way it did.
He is the one that does the forced n7mber pick so how did he end up with two 8s?

Simon picked two numbers, both of them were 8s because that was the only number he was allowed to get. He put one of his numbers back in the box and it must have ended up in the section of the box that held only the 20s somehow. When Heidi picked her number from the 20s section she got the 8 that Simon had put back.

I think Simon handed the second number back to Dorenbos.
I think the bad had different compartments or something, and maybe Simon getting the double number threw him off and he offered Heidi the wrong compartment? Or she somehow managed to get a hold of Simon's second 8?

So The Mayyas won. They also wont Arab's Got Talent. Do they divide the money between the 36 of them? If they take the yearly payment that would be less than $700 each before taxes per year.
I finally figured out that I've always misunderstand the title of this show. I always thought that "America's Got Talent" meant America Has Got Talent, but it's actually America's "Got Talent". "America's" is possessive and not a contraction. Basically, this is America's version of the "Got Talent" format. So it doesn't really matter that many of the contestants, and all of the judges, aren't from the U.S.

They do these [Insert Country]'s Got Talent shows all over the world, and it's not unusual for the same acts to get shuffled around between them.

I’ve seen that at least one act was on another Got Talent this year which is fine but Simon indicated that he had never seen them before.
Wish I could remember the specific act.

The one I saw was Simon. Probably Britains got Talent. Was an act in this season that he said it was new to him even though he saw them before.

It used to be that if an act was popular on BGT he'd copycat it in the US, -at least that's my take. He did that with the office worker opera singer (Paul Potts (UK)/ Neal Boyd (US)) and after a dog act won BGT ("Pudsey"), The Olate Dogs won the following season in the US.

Speaking of this season, I'm not a fan at all of the new way they're doing it now. Eleven acts, two go directly to the final. They're letting too much junk through and crowding out a few of the more interesting acts in favor of bland musicians with sob stories. I'd rather see acts like that tattooed swallower or the heavy metal choir go through.
Was hoping for Kristy Sellars to win, oh well...
BTW, are the Mayyas the first large group act to win AGT?

Can we change the title of this thread to "...season 15 and beyond"?
This season is already a joke. They had balancing act of three women who fell down three different times, but they still got put through. Probably because they were Ukrainian and super hot also. Actually, I'm glad they got to advance because like I said...they were super hot.
Also, there was a pseudo metal band that Sofia's husband had hired to play a party before.

Hair Metal band from the 80’s.
Never made it big but had a following.

But they're also a comedy act. Sort of like Spinal Tap. But without a movie, and with actual musicians and not SNL cast members who can moonlight as musicians.
They're intentionally over the top and silly.
And they're also raunchy as fuck. Watch some of their videos on Youtube like "Gloryhole," "Poontang Boomerang," and listen to "Girl from Oklahoma."
I can guarantee that they won't be playing a lot of songs from their catalog on NBC.

It is a first they are airing a live show at 5pm on the West Coast.
Don't know if it is a one off or they will do more shows like this but wonder how many people would watch around 5pm with the sun still out and people still on the freeway after their work shift is over.
American Idol has done some 5pm shows in the past.

This season likely already has its winner.
