I would weirdly probably enjoy a show with Charlie Day and Emily Hampshire.

Yup, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) singing in an Audi commercial poking fun at season 8 wins all!

I don't get this Molly Ringwald pushing avocados from Mexico ad.
Believe me, grocery stores in Texas sell a shit load of avocados, but I don't have a fucking clue where they come from, and don't think there are any shoppers who know or care.
So I'm supposed to go to the store to buy avocados and see that they are NOT from Mexico, and then decide not to buy avocados? They just sell "avocados," so If I don't want what they have to offer, that's it. It's not like there's a bin of Mexican avocados next to a bin of California avocados for me to choose from.

The ad wants to associate Avocado with Mexico. It's a non-profit that represents a bunch of producers and saying Avocado and Mexico makes people think that makes them higher quality or gives a nudge to those questioning which to buy.

Lil Nas vs Sam Elliot Doritos commercial was the best imo. Really got the largest reaction from all the folks at the place I was at.

The Bill Murray Groundhog Day ad was my fave.
I'd like to know the sum total Tide paid for all those ads.

Overall I thought the commercials this year were a bit better than the past couple of years. Some of them still seemed to be trying to hard to be funny/irreverent (Planters, taxes), but I thought the Alexa, Tide, Jeep and Cheetos ones were great.

And the point of my entire post was questioning what the hell "which to buy" means! Duh.

Also, I think these are local but we got several scientology ads again. I still think the worst one was quibi but it's hard for me to detangle the terribleness of the concept from the terribleness of the commercial.
Oh wait, there was one in the pregame show that I had never seen before about Portland that I thought was really weird:

Wow. I thought the Hyundai commercial with the Bahston accents was gonna get panned here, but I guess not. Really hated that one.
And maybe I'm biased 'cuz it was a locally produced commercial, but the St. Archer Brewing spot with the skateboarder (company CEO, by the way) looking for the right 12-pack was a nice one. Nothing flashy.

I thought the Snickers hole was stupid but leaned into it enough to make it funny.
The tide pods one must have cost a fortune (they tied into the Masked Singer afterwards as well) and I didn't think the payoff was that great. Cool concept though. I'm sure they shared the cost with Bud and Wonder Woman, etc. Google one had the feels but to me it was marred for being, well, Google and all I could think of was what they're going to do with all this personal information you're giving them. Same with the Rock groups one with Chris Rock and Stallone, clever concept marred by being an ad for Facebook.
I didn't get the Jonah Hill/Scorsese one at all. So that's the drink to get when you're feeling too lazy to go to a party?
