Is The Boys more graphic than Watchmen?
 

Hey, wondering if the Boys TV series is appropriate for a teenager nearly 16. We watched Watchmen together and he loved it; I’ve read The Boys comics and know they get pretty grotty though. Any thoughts how they compare?

I haven't finished Watchmen yet but Imma go with yes, yes it is. I'd say watch the first episode solo to feel it out. It isn't as graphic as the comics but it isn't not graphic.

Yes. It's more graphic. I wouldn't led a kid watch it, but you know your 16-year-old better than I do. Why don't you just watch a few episodes on your own first?

It's definitely more graphic than Watchmen, but I don't know if I would say it's a heavy as Watchmen with the subject matter. I think as a 16 year old I would have preferred The Boys over Watchmen in terms of pure entertainment value. But then again I was reading some comic books at that age that had some pretty graphic images in them as well. It all depends on what he's used to watching .

Movie? Yes, The Boys is much more graphic and adult. I haven’t seen the Watchmen show yet.

Is it more graphic? Yes.

Is it fine for a 16 year old boy? Yes.

By that age, pretty much nothing should really be off-limits tbh.

My consideration is if I'd be comfortable watching it with my dad, but that depends on their relationship.
