Season 2 for this starts tonight after FBI
I did watch this back when it aired midseason, but I binged most of it in blocks. I thought it was a pretty good show and a good companion to the original.
Season 1 was supposed to film 16 episodes, but they only filmed 13.
Season 2 and the original show will get anywhere from 16 to 18. CBS and Universal are still negotiating.
THE TEAM SEARCHES FOR TWO GUNMEN WHO ARE TAKING THEIR COVID-RELATED DESPERATION AND RAGE OUT ON THEIR PERCEIVED OPPRESSORS, AND JESS' FATHER RETURNS TO HIS SON'S LIFE, ON THE SECOND SEASON PREMIERE OF "FBI: MOST WANTED," TUESDAY, NOV. 17
Editor's note: This episode replaces the one previously announced as the season premiere.
Terry O'Quinn Debuts in His Recurring Role as Jess' Father

I enjoyed this one as well. The storyline with the drive by shooter had some similarities to the FBI episode before it. But this guy and his partner hated who they deemed were rich and entitled people. This team really started gelling for me towards the 2nd half of last season. In the end, the guy was psychologically screwed up over the death of his Mom. That's usually the case with a lot of these felons that they had a personal tragedy.
Also, I did like seeing Terry O'Quinn as Jess' Dad.
And this one also takes place in a COVID world as Jess and his team did wear masks in spots.

Episode 2, which aired before Thanksgiving, was probably one of the weaker episodes of the series. The villain was just a disgruntled hacker who murdered an entire family by hacking into their car. IMO hardly something worthwhile for an elite unit like this. It should have been something for Cyber crimes.

The lead character is such a fucking idiot. How are we supposed to root for that guy?

Yeah. All that crap with his father makes him come off like a dickhead. Be a fucking man and put that shit behind you. I would enjoy the show much more if all his family parts were 100% cut out.

Very on the nose episode regarding today's politics this week. They just changed the Q from QAnon to Z. It was like an educational PSA for folks who have no idea what the group is.

Another 'ripped from the headlines' episode, this time involving white supremacy, border crossings, access to guns, and radicalization of military veterans.
It was an okay episode, but nothing special. A few good character moments like Kenny (Kellan Lutz) talking about what it was like being in the 'sniper' role usually held by Clinton, and the nice moment at the end between Jess and his father.
Speaking of Clinton, it was weird that this episode involved the Mohawk tribe and yet Clinton and his parents (Jess's in-laws) were not in the episode at all. Jess mentions them once, but that's it. Of course that family screentime has gone to Terry O'Quinn lately, but I would have expected a story involving their tribe to at least have the Skyes make an appearance.

I get the feeling this show isn't doing well. They had a LONG preview of it during FBI, almost like it was a new show they were showing off. FBI is far superior to this spinoff.

Also, they aired a new episode of FBI on Sunday after the football game, so I'm sure many of you had it cut off. It aired about 30 minutes late.

^Yeah, I was going to watch that the next day on my DVR and was bummed that it got pushed back so I would only have the first half. I guess I can watch it on cbs.com.

I'm now caught up with the 2 most recent episodes.
Episode 6 started out promising with the murder and kidnapping of the mother and daughter. But, it kind of fell flat when it was revealed the mother was behind it all and was just suckering 2 idiots to help her cash out some money.
Episode 7 also started out promising with the bail jumper who went on a killing spree, but it turned out he was just saw dumb pawn of some psychic for some lottery scam. Huh? It was nice though to see Amy Carlson back as Jackie.
That ending was such an awkward exchange when Jess tried to ask out his daughter's horse trainer.
I know most men go through that. I read that actress is recurring, so she will be back.
For a show about a fugitive task force, some of these bad guys have been pretty lackluster.

Just finished the last 3 episodes of season 2. Ended on a major cliffhanger. Jess’ new girlfriend’s ex husband stormed into his house with a gun while she and his daughter are in there. Jess and Crosby come in armed and you hear gunfire off camera.
Either three things will happen.
Sarah kills the ex since she has a gun.
Jess and Crosby shoot him.
Sarah gets shot by the ex and he gets killed by Jess and Crosby

Season 3 of this show began last night, in a big crossover event with FBI and the new spinoff, FBI: International.
A couple of thoughts... (spoilers ahead!)
Season 2 ended on that cliffhanger, but in the Season 3 premiere all we get is a quick exchange between Jess and Isobel about him shooting/killing Sarah's ex and that it was justifiable self-defense. That's it. Seems weird to resolve that off-screen.
Kellan Lutz (Kenny) is apparently leaving the show after this episode. Too bad, I had grown to like his character.
Looks like they're adding Alexa Davalos, which I'm happy to see. I liked her a lot on Man in the High Castle.

Lutz's goodbye. Leaving the show to move back to California. Sounds like he and his family had a hard year.

I finished watching the 3-part premiere last night.
I was a little disappointed at how the major cliffhanger from Most Wanted was just resolved as a casual mention that the ex husband was killed and Jess and Crosby were cleared.
However, I get why they did it as they had to move the story forward with his 3-parter.
I did like the introduction of Davalos' character and she should be a decent replacement for Crosby.

I've just started watching the FBI franchise weekly this season, previous seasons I maybe saw an episode or two a year
Does anyone else just not care at all about LaCroix's family BS with his daughter and want to be step mom girlfriend? Thankfully last night it came after the case was resolved so I could just turn it off and go to bed

I thought this week's episode set in the mall was really good. It's a pretty scary scenario and there was a lot of on-screen death. The family moments were actually good, too. Though, I gotta say, Terry O'Quinn should really be in something better than this show.

The episode was good but the end was kinda cringe. Regardless of the situation, showing a crowd of people clapping as your final shot, all in front of the mall which is still littered with dead bodies is poor form.

If it means no more family subplots, so be it. Although if you are one actors tied to his family plots, you gotta be pissed.
