Seeing Routh do another fly by smile as Supes was great.

The whole thing was a mess. I'm surprised so many people are happy with what was essentially incredibly mediocre storytelling and editing, surrounded by b & c list cameos.

What a confusing hot mess.

Oliver honorable? The guy was a fucking sociopath.

Why did Jefferson get a spot at the table when they apparently just met him? Why not Ray? Is Ryan replacing Ray in Legends (or another show)?

Does OA/The GL Corps exist in the the same universe? That would be a game changer.

So many questions.

No, they're in the Earth-12 universe.

But there is no multiverse anymore.

Yes, there is. It was established at the end:

Earth Prime - CWverse

Earth 12 - Green Lantern movie
Earth 96 - Reeves/Routh Superman movie

Four other earths for the live action DCUniverse: Titans, Swamp Thing, Doom Patrol, and Stargirl.

wonder if there are any more they didn’t show? For example, movie verse? What was the point of the cameo if the movie verse wasn’t one established ?

But I thought the whole point of this was to get rid of the multiverse? There was no one from those other Universes represented in the crossover so they shouldn’t exist anymore.

What a mess.

yes there was. Routh Superman was in it. Also Jason Todd and Hawk had a cameo in part 1.

Have not got to watch part 6 yet but I could not believe that cameo! Massive props to the actor for agreeing to do it and it's amazing they were able to keep it secret.

They restarted everything and new universes were born just like they were before. It's not really complicated. It's goofy comic book bullshit, but that's what's fun about it. It's not supposed to be an episode of Cosmos.

Says who? Maybe in the original story but clearly this was an adaptation.

They showed them all in cameo form:

Earth-19 is Swamp Thing and you see him with a somber voice over playing.

Earth-2 is Stargirl, the main cast appears.

Earth-12 is the Green Lantern movie, only OA is shown.

Earth-9 is Titans, you see Raven & Robin along with Hawk & Dove.

Earth-21 is Doom Patrol, the entire team dancing on the lawn is shown.

Earth-96 is Reeve’s/Routh’s Superman movies, you see Routh flying in space and wearing the Kingdom Come crest with yellow now replacing black. This indicates his full hope has returned. John Williams’ score plays during this.

Exactly. They tidied up the CW Universe and everything else is just for fun.

Guggenheim says the Smallville universe still exists and Welling/Durance's Clark and Lois aren't erased. Maybe they're on one of those newly formed earths.

Marc Guggenheim answered a bunch of questions on TV Line. Here's my favorite answer (and it probably answers some other questions, too):

SPEAKING OF LAUREL…. WHERE WERE SHE, AND IRIS, AND CISCO, AND MIA? ESPECIALLY IN ‘CRISIS’ PART 5?

“Maybe one day we will tell that story,” Guggenheim hedges, “but again, all of those actors need to be paid, and they need to be paid a crossover rate that is above and beyond their episodic rate. That forces us to make hard financial choices that unfortunately occasionally drive the creative choices.”

Yeah, I was especially wondering where Cisco/Vibe was when they were at Star Labs in part 5.

Guggenheim explains to Variety how the Miller cameo happened:

There has been a fairly strict separation of the DC film and television world. How were you able to combine the two with Miller’s cameo?

We were series wrapped on “Arrow,” and we were wrapped on the whole crossover. We were in post and some episodes were locked, and some were soft-locked. I got a phone call from [Warner Bros. boss] Peter Roth saying, “I know you’re locked, but can you put Ezra into the crossover?” And I said, “Yes.” And he said, “How, you’re series wrapped? And you’re wrapped on the crossover.” And I said, “Yeah, I know, but if you’re telling me Ezra Miller can be in the crossover, I can make it happen.” I called Eric Wallace who who is the showrunner of “Flash,” and he called up Grant Gustin — because the one thing that was our only concern was the thought we didn’t want to do it unless Grant was 100 percent on-board with it. And he was. He was incredibly enthusiastic and on-board with it. And then we got on the phone with Ezra Miller and told him the scene I had written and he was completely into it. And we just went. We put together a unit of the “Flash” crew on the “Flash” set [since “Arrow’s” team, which had produced the rest of the hour, was gone]. And much to our surprise, no one noticed Ezra Miller was in Vancouver and no one leaked it from the crew, which we appreciate. So we were able to keep it a surprise.

Yeah, was sort of a mess, but was fun with all the cameos. The movie Flash one was completely unexpected. I'm shocked they were able to keep that a secret. As many of us expected, they rebooted everything and consolidated all the shows to one earth.

The meta commentary about the crossovers by Nate, Ava and Sara was the best part of it all.

I didn't even realize that the DCEU Flash wasn't even called "The Flash" and Barry was so in awe of what a cool name that was,

Someone on YouTube thought he was wiped from existence, but I guess that's left open for interpretation.

I think with the Flash you can explain anything away by invoking the Speed Force.
