Just catching up on this. Will probably have to rewatch these first three eps to catch some of the references I missed.

I loved at the end of the second episode when Kara first sees the Routh version of Clark Kent and says admiringly, "Whoa, Ray, you are looking jacked!" And her Kal-El has to cut her off "No no no... he's your cousin... sort of." :lol:

Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman appears in the tie-in comics. She’s from Earth-76 referencing her first season year.

Now I wanna see the Powerless crew freak out even if its in comic form.

I don't watch Supergirl, so can someone tell me who the Brainy guy is? Is it supposed to be Brainiac? Isn't he a villain?

The original Brainiac was a Superman villain. Centuries later, one of his descendants is a good guy in the future and had a huge crush on Supergirl. Of course the show uses him as comedic relief and stripped him of crushing on Supergirl.

He’s also a direct replacement for Wynn, who did have a crush on Supergirl. Maybe they wanted to differentiate the characters a little more, so Brainiac 5 got this thing with Dreamer instead.
Honestly not a big fan of Brainy here, though. He talks like someone instructed him to talk like a pretentious version of Data from TNG. It grates on my ears when he gets a lot of dialogue.

Agreed, it's a weird take on Brainy seemingly inspired by the Legion cartoon from the 2000s and Data from Trek.

I did a rewatch last week. The Lucifer cameo still surprised me. :lol: He is so great, 'oh, daddy issues'.

Marc Guggenheim said on the post-show in December that there's more cameos to come. It's 2 hours tonight, so they better wrap it up in a satisfying way after a 1 month break.

Ratings tonight will determine if they pull this stunt again. There was some momentum and buzz leading into Crisis but it feels like that has all died out over Christmas.

I'm thinking the opposite. They wouldn't bring him in as a one off if they didn't plan on doing something in a movie.
