It’s for the extra Baby Yoda adorableness...so...cute...can’t resist...

Episode 4 (The Sanctuary) did not disappoint.

Gave us a little insight into Mando and a little more about the Mandalorian religion, "once you take the armor off in front of someone, you can't put it back on" and that Mando's worn the armor "since he was a little older than a child."

Gina Carano's character, Cara Dune (a former Rebellion Shock Trooper), is a wonderful addition to this universe. I'll be glad to see her again.

And yes, the Yodaling is as adorable as ever.

Wow... so the show actually explained something people kept going on and on about because the show didn't go into it in the first episode! Amazing how that works on a TV show! :sarcasm:

Imagine that. ;)

Also, this episode was directed by Bryce Dallas Howard.

Easily the best, most fleshed out episode so far. It helps that Mando has more than one character an episode to work off from, at least ones that we can care about.

Loved the episode but didn't he take off his helmet within full view of the kids, if they looked towards him?

It was touching when the village was saying goodbye to Baby Yoda.

Good episode. Hey, who says a woman can't direct well? BDH killed it! I'll wait for the women haters to say that it was "ghost directed" by her father. ;)

It's kind of funny. The PTB at Lucasfilm have been wanting to push for more women to be involved with the creation of Star Wars, and there has been pushback from certain quarters against this idea.

But now Deborah Chow and Bryce Dallas Howard have quietly served up the best Star Wars we've seen in two generations.

Really liked the lady bounty hunter. I was hoping she would join the crew.

Not a terribly original episode, but it gives more depth to Mando.

Argh. Although I already saw the episode, someone on Facebook posted the flipping climax of the episode on their timeline as an auto-playing video they made from their phone. Seriously, not cool.

I’m sorry, that last transmission didn’t come through, can you repeat?

Happy that we finally got Gina Carano ... disappointed she became yet another one off. Crew? There is no crew.

This episode felt like it was straight out of the 80s when the TV formula was “villain of the week”. I enjoyed it, but it ranks 4th of 4 for me. I won’t quite use the “f” word (filler), but it didn’t add near as much as the previous episodes, instead relying on short-hand and tropes to tell the story.

Awww, loved that ending with Baby Yoda riding off with Mando on that wagon.

Solid episode. Probably one of the best of the 4 and you really got more insight into Mando's character. I help Gina Carano isn't a one off. She was a nice addition and worked well with Mando.

Bryce Dallas Howard did a really good job directing this episode. Lots of action set pieces and visual effects she had to oversee.

and I'm surprised this episode was also written by Favreau. He's written every episode so far.

It says that Carano is in for 3 episodes.

I love Julia Jones, though, she is hot.

Another awesome episode ! i like how they keep the scope of FX realistic, not trying to put too much into each episode

Baby yoda continues to be the cutest thing on TV

Gina Carano was great

Packed a lot of character connection in 35 minutes

Is there any background about the Shock Troopers in the star wars universe ?

This was another solid episode and the level of cuteness from Baby Yoda is off the chart. Having said that, the premise wasn’t very original (Seven Samurai comes to mind) but it worked in order to fresh out Mando’s character and Mandalorian lore.

yeah, it’s all of the western tropes but the original Star Wars followed a similar pedigree. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a “heist” scenario in the future.

I’m really curious what Taika Waititi’s episode is going to be like.

Absolutely zero, zilch, zip, nada, nothing new about this series whatsoever. But it is done well and enjoyable nonetheless.
