Perfect Harmony (NBC)
This was not terrible, sampling most of the comedies to see if any will stick..

When former Princeton music professor Arthur Cochran unexpectedly stumbles into choir practice at a small-town church, he finds an oddball group of singers that is out of tune in more ways than one. Despite the ultimate clash of sensibilities, Arthur and his newfound cohorts, including temporary choirmaster Ginny, her ex, Wayne, vocal powerhouse Adams, gentle giant Dwayne, the impossibly upbeat Reverend Jax and more, may just be the perfect mix of individuals to help each other reinvent and rediscover a little happiness... just when they all need it most.

It’s $5.99 for the season right now thanks to a price mistake on Amazon Prime Video

I was excited to see so much activity in the thread for this seemingly niche show, but then I opened it.
Anyway, I like Anna Camp and have sung in choirs so I gave it a try. It’s OK, and I’ll watch a bit longer, but the “quirky” characters mostly seem annoying so far.

It was amusing enough to sample another episode*. I like Whitford and Camp, although she always plays the same basic character, except they want her to be likeable here. Some of the other casting I'm not sure about, -I remember the actor who plays the guy with the crush on Camp as the murderous Native American juggernaut on "Banshee", and the actor playing her ex seems a bit too repulsive.
*Unlike "Sunnyside", which I just couldn't get through.

So, I've watched the second episode, and that's it for me.

Wife and I are reasonable amused by this and “Bless This Mess”. Who knew country folk were so complicated LOL? We are in, as we were both raised in the south, and some of what others see as parody smacks of more truth that we might care to admit...

PH is currently losing to "The Unicorn", and "Sunnyside", which follows an hour later, is probably going to be the first cancellation of the season (or moved to Saturday). NBC's Thursday line-up could isn't doing particularly well, and might get a shake-up.

I'm a big fan of Kal Penn but Sunnyside is SO bad after 2 episodes. Unicorn is great.

I hated "Sunnyside", -in particular the wealthy siblings (who dominated the pilot). That was a one and out. I've watched the pilot for "Unicorn" and I'll catch up with the second ep when the "On Demand" running time goes down on Friday. I'll probably DVR the third, having dropped Harmony.

I’m still watching but expecting it to get canceled any day now. Anna Camp singing 9 to 5 was the clear highlight of the last episode.

Surprised this is not at least a moderate hit since anything with Bradley Whitford is usually quality stuff.
Maybe we can make a better judgment on the Thurs night shows when Thursday Night Football is over.

Re: Perfect Harmony (NBC)
Just watched the last of the original 13-episode order. This show is somewhat amusing, but the quirky characters are never THAT funny, and the show could use more than one or two songs per episode. I’m assuming we’ve seen the last of it.
