Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 thread

Well last night was the premiere of Bachelor in Paradise. I almost thought I needed a break after the ending of the Bachelorette last week, but last night was a really good promising start to the season. Blake is so screwed this year after sleeping with both Kristina and Caelynn before the show, and is attached to two other women already once the show started. I know most won't watch here but it airs Monday and Tuesday night for the next 6 weeks.

Lol.... I'll be watching. I think this is one of the most highly entertaining reality shows on all of TV.

I hate they couldn't get the rose ceremony done last night. My favorite personality to come from a Bachelor show in a long time is John Paul Jones. The dude needs to be the Bachelor.

Re: Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 thread

My wife and I just recently started watching the Bachelorverse shows, starting with Colton's season. I roll my eyes at half of it and think the time commitment is ridiculous, but it has been entertaining.

As for the whole Blake situation, is he just being slut shamed? Kristina specifically said that she wasn't upset that he slept with Caelynn, but that it happened the next night after sleeping with her. Is there a double standard happening here?

He has a great personality... but I can't imagine him settling down in the next few years. His 15 minutes are just beginning. I am always shocked that some douche, like Blake, is willing to go on TV and let his "legacy" get tarnished. Guy is 30 years old and comes across like a frat boy who has no idea that a real life and career should be his focus. I know he'll "influence" but I gotta imagine those opportunities will dry up after he gets raked thru the coals and shit on all over Twitter.

Well the season is now half over. The Blake drama played itself out, and now we have what feels like drama revolving around Demi coming out as Bi. It feels really manufactured in the drama involving her having a girlfriend and leading on Derek. I think she shouldn't have been on the show if she was already in a relationship.

This felt really contrived and really self-congratulatory. They spent the better part of two episodes with all this drama with Demi, and it just got boring after a while. "Love Island" had a better version of this, where two of the girls seemed to naturally discover an attraction but were hesitant to bring it up (and didn't follow through, unfortunately).

Reached the point where I was fast forwarding. Imagine if it was a dude with a girlfriend back home. They really go overboard milking storylines - Blake earlier and now Demi.

Yep - whenever a guy does what Demi did, he's outcasted. This show has turned a bit boring... most of these people have already connected or hooked up on previous events (and with social media) so they know who they'll "date" on the show and enjoy a free vacation and social influencer benefits going forward.

No doubt answering the questions (and suspicions) a lot of viewers have had, Demi is saying she wasn't involved with Kristian when she signed up for BIP, and the relationship evolved as we see it. I don't know why the show makes cynical (actually, I know exactly why the show makes me cynical) but I still think this was pretty much crafted in advance.

Don't watch BIP but on many reality boards, they think Demi's entire story arc has been manufactured by the producers or herself. These heterosexual dating reality shows are currently desperate to inject some LGBT action for social media attention and drawing in that audience.

Well I don't really care who ends up with who at the end of the season, but last night John Paul Jones date with Tahjzjuan was probably the most entertainment I've gotten out of the season.

Re: Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 thread

The producers definitely seem to be pursuing two-episode story arcs each week, with Demi's story put on the backburner, much as Blake's was the week before. Tuesday's episode was pretty much setting up next week's storyline...

Once everyone is coupled up, this show becomes so boring

They need to change the rules. Once a couple is established and wants to pursue things outside of paradise, they either need to leave paradise or go to a separate segregated house where they must stream live sex shows. I would like to watch Dylan give Hannah a good seeing to.

and then you can rotate way more singles through the show

Things won't get interesting until the "Reunion" half of Tuesday's finale. There's no Monday episode.

I'd like to see them go back to the formula of Bachelor Pad. The editing of this season has been awful.

It was a bad season.... overall pretty boring. The formula is too stale and I haven't seen the finale yet. I don't really care to.

Re: Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 thread

Was a rough summer for trashy reality shows.

Episodes of this did not need to be 2 hours. Also they beat to death the same few storylines and none of those storylines were that interesting in the first place.

Re: Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 thread

Really needed Luke P in paradise

It was boring, the few conflicts seemed really planned, especially the Jordan and Christian one

They go on about the success stories, but it's no higher average than any other dating tool/website/service, every single one has a certain percentage of success stories

Still Carly and Evan are cute and Evan is a good poster boy for the non Alpha type guys getting the girl

I don't think a single couple who got engaged on the show will actually get married.

Mike is allegedly dating Tayshia now... seems like a good fit. I never saw her with JPJ despite how much he tried to click with her.

Re: Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 thread

I finally finished this today. I only watch The Bachelor series shows while I work out so I'm always a bit behind due to the shows being so long. I agree that it's was a poor season. I like to watch something mindless while I'm on the exercise bike and this did the trick for me. I guess I'm going to move to Shark Tank and Survivor now.

Re: Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 thread

Bachelor in Paradise is the only part of the Bachelor franchise that I watch (very much a guilty pleasure). They skipped last year due to Covid. Now it seems they're in another sticky situation, due to the Racism controversy that has Chris Harrison side-lined and potentially erased

Re: Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 thread

I'm pretty disgusted with how the producers have now caved to the woke mob who are hell bent on destroying these shows and alienating the loyal audience who have watched them for years. The way they are so intertwined with the drama around social media and the people that go on them are only there to become "Instagram Famous" has gotten so bad that I think it'll lead to their downfall.
