David is brutal, and I guess we aren't done with the time monsters. That creepy laugh was back at the end.

There can be no redemption for David at all. Brutal is a great way to describe his actions.
Love when Syd touched him. I kind of didn't see it coming at all, and when she did, I thought it was great.

But I really hated the Magnolia-style sing-a-long. I loved it in Magnolia. I really thought it was terrible here.

Still loving this show.

I was thinking about it, and isn't Syd's mind now trapped in David's head, much the way Lenny was trapped by the Shadow King?

And even if he does go back in time and change the past, won't he still have Syd trapped in his head? I wonder how that's going to play out.

Unless the Legion in his head just "killed" her mind.

And I thought I was doing so well this season what with knowing what was going on and such. Now I'm back to having to watch an episode again as so much of it zipped right over my head. Something with space Zeppelins, lots of stabbing, and Elvis Costello if I'm not mistaken. It must be a blast to be an actor on this show.

I am really interested to see how they wrap this up.

Edited to correct the fact I thought this coming week's episode was the last.

So we finally had David say "I am Legion." Hey, that's the title of the show! FX has released that scene as a clip on Youtube:

Also, an unofficial clip of the cast singing (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding

I actually just discovered that the Elvis Costello version is a cover. The song was first performed/recorded by the band Brinsley Schwarz. The studio recording was a bit slow, but they sped it up during live performances, like this one, and it has an extra line in it:

That's cool! I wonder what it's like to have someone cover your song and then become so big that they essentially own it from then on.

Well, the writer of the song, Nick Lowe, was a producer of Elvis Costello's first 4 albums, and co-producer of his fifth. The Elvis Costello version was actually originally a b-side to Lowe's 1978 single "American Squirm," credited to "Nick Lowe and His Sound". So he's probably a bit proud he produced the hit version of his song. Those songwriting royalties probably don't hurt either.

Nick Lowe had his own share of hits, including Cruel to be Kind:
