I saw that yesterday, but I had never heard of Small Screen (the original story source) so I figured this was definitely a take it with a grain of salt story.

Unfortunately it looks like it's dead...dead now.

Since my wife discovered her love for true crime we've watched a lot and I saw my chance to re-watch Mindhunter. We started last week and gladly my wife likes it. So I had my fingured crossed for good news.
Thanks for nothing mwbmis

Such a damn bummer. Was it really that expensive a show? Didn't really look like it, besides for Fincher's involvement.

FWIW, I consider Black Bird on Apple TV+ almost a spiritual sequel to Mindhunter even though there's no shared DNA. If you liked Mindhunter I do encourage you to check out Black Bird as well.

Too bad this show never found a large enough audience.

It really looked like the 70s and while a lot of the show was indoors, they were on the road a lot, too. Everything had to look authentic and Fincher directed 7 episodes which probably took a lot of time for a TV show, since he uses so many takes.

Aww, FFS. Saw the thread bump and was momentarily excited.

This was so good.
