She has a pretty face but the fake boobs are pretty terrible.
Ive never been enamored with her even a little bit.

If you want to see what she looked like before all the work on her face and while still relatively young watch Aquaman tv pilot on DC Univsere app. Still the bad boobs though even then. Must have had that work done really young.

As for this this episode I really liked it.

Its a little weird that the show has about five minutes less commercial time then normal and they call it a limited commercial interruption show.

Firefly Orville was fun

"The Kaylon were thorough" is an excellent budget saving tactic

I think the Star Trek episode this is most like is Star Trek Enterprise's season 3 episode "Twilight"

In that episode... (I'll spoiler tag it in case someone may want to see it)
Spoiler:

...Captain Archer is affected by some sort of wave that infects his mind with space parasites that make him unfit for command. So he's replaced as captain and as a result, they lose the currently ongoing Xindi War and the Earth is destroyed by the enemy. The Xindi then go on to mostly wipe out humanity until there's only a few thousand humans left anywhere.

But at the same time, they start treating Archer for the mind parasites and find out that the parasites have a temporal existence and removing them from Archer's brain in the present also permanently removes them from his brain in the past as well. So they treat him and doing so undoes the entire alternate timeline.

Good episode, one of the best of that series.

If I’m going to nitpick, I didn’t like that Seth McFarlane used the millennial term “ghosting” in reference to Grayson not answering Mercer’s phone calls after the first date.

The English language already has a term for that. It’s called “ignored”.

This show is terrible for stuff like that. And then they go on to say things like "Money? I don't understand. What is money?" "Oh it's something our troglodytic ancestors fought over when greed and hatred ruled the earth. Fortunately we evolved beyond such puerile foolishness."

Did you happen to see season 1? And several variations on the theme in numerous other episodes? So I guess I ask you the same question.

The underlying theme of the show is sanctimony. When the characters aren't crapping on anything they encounter that isn't like them, they crap on the past (present day). And yet it seems to occupy their every reference; be it slang, music, pop culture, etc.

Oh, you object to the entire concept of sci-fi (and perhaps horror) using the cloak of genre to engage in social commentary and political allegory. I guess you can enjoy reruns of Lost in Space, then.

Ghosting is different from just ignoring because with ghosting there was previously some kind of interaction or relationship. If he just said it was ignored, it would suggest there hadn't been any reason for him to expect to not be ignored.

Words can last centuries. Not sure why it's weird that a useful term would still be in use, but a then-useless concept like money should be at the front of their minds.

The Orville has more than earned a 3rd Season - TV Guide

Agreed! Let's hope it happens.

I hate to try to explain humor, but I believe the term "ghosting" was used intentionally. As a joke. As a winknod to the audience, a kind of breaking the fourth wall to let us know that this is a comment on today's culture. Or something like that. Now, those who watch this show ten years from now might not even get it. But we do. McFarlane does this a lot in this show, and it's one of the things I really like about it.

I hope Seth addresses some of this year's problems during its hiatus.
AND get rid of that God Damn 3rd Eye on what's-her-name.

I think it was meant as a joke because of all the Bortus time.
