The is a 20+ minute show reunion video on Netflix in the extras section of Lucifer. They talk about how the show is about redemption and how redemption can even happen to who is arguably the least redeemable character...Lucifer.

Season 3 dragged for me. I am halfway through Season 4 and am enjoying it much more. I understood that the writers had a full season mapped out (don't know about written) and when Netflix ordered only 10 episodes, they came from the first half of the original Season 4.

Finished episode 5. I agree that pun was great!
The season is moving along at a nice clip. I think the story and character arcs have better flow and connect from episode to episode. Plus, there is enough dangling for me to want to see the next episode. I can’t quite say the same for last season. Speaking of which:
I also think it’s sweet how much of a lingering impact Charlotte Richards still has on the show. Tricia Helfer was definitely a highlight of season 3!

Just finished S4 and loved it. Shortening the season definitely had a positive impact on the show, plus it seems more risks were taken.

Just finished Ep.2...certainly this season has a very different feel to it and a NICE break from the monotonous of the menage-a-trois of S3.
Also, the 4K UHD is a bonus.

Lux in 4K is very nice!
Finished season 4 and absolutely enjoyed it. Nice tight pacing and story. I was surprised by episodes 9 and 10 as I thought the plot was headed in a different direction.
I do think both Linda and Dan’s stories could have used 1-2 more episodes to breath, but they still came across well.
One thing I noticed - aside from Eve, the focus was very much on the core characters. I think that helped with plotting too.
The penthouse seen at the end of episode 9 looked amazing. The lighting coupled with HDR really stood out. The masquerade segment was very inspired as well.
Nice cliffhanger at the end! Definitely wraps up the story but opens a lot of new questions. Bring on season 5!

Re: Lucifer (now on Netflix) -- Season 4 Thread -- Premieres 5/8/19
I binged this yesterday and even watched the reunion special. I do hope it gets a pick-up but if not I was still very happy with how the series ended. Lucifer was given a chance that is not afforded to many series to be able to provide some genuine closure to several characters story arcs. Also, color me pleasantly surprised that Eve turned out to be a perfect addition to the Lucifer cast as she fit right in and I was not taken out of the show for a moment when she was on screen.
Her emulating Lucifer’s “bad boyfriend” behavior is a highlight of the series, just too funny.

I see a lot of Eve Hate in Lucifer groups. I'm like, even if you hate her and think she's a bad thing for Lucifer she still....

Not sure if this good or not. I'll love more of the show no matter what, but the last season at 10 episodes was about as perfect as the show has gotten. Not sure if having more room will turn it into more of the Fox long-ass season territory, if they can now fully utilize all 16 episodes and finish it out on a high note.

Re: Lucifer (now on Netflix) -- Season 4 Thread -- Premieres 5/8/19
I think of us getting a 16 episode supersize season 5 as Netflix choosing to give us Season 5 Part 1 and Part 2 all at once vs how they did it with shows like Sabrina which spaced things out so you basically got one longish season (by Netflix standards) but released with a several month break between parts (I noticed they did this with The Ranch, Fuller House, and a handful of other Netflix originals).
I guess Netflix would have paid a lot more for the show if it officially was picked up for a 6th season but letting the show runners add episodes to the 5th season (for Netflix the 2nd season) was financially doable.
Regardless, wonderful news.

Re: Lucifer (now on Netflix) -- Season 4 Thread -- Premieres 5/8/19
The fans have been demanding Netflix give the show a 6th season. This is probably the fairest compromise. It's much cheaper to film and produce 16 episodes straight as opposed to 2 separate 10 episode seasons or a 10 episode and then 6 episode season.
You keep the cast and crew and don't risk losing them to other shows because the time gap between seasons is so long.

Maybe it'll help Netflix slow their roll on cancelling shows.
