DC's Legends of Tomorrow (S4E09) -- "Lucha De Apuestas" -- 4/1/19

MONDAY, APRIL 1

DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

"Lucha De Apuestas" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DLV) (HDTV)

BELIEVE IT OR NOT - When the Legends hear that Mona (Roman Young) has let a fugitive go, they must head to 1961 Mexico City to clean up her mess. Mona tries to convince the Legends and the Bureau that the people responsible for releasing the fugitive were some mysterious Men in Black and not her. With no evidence to back up her theory, the Legends must decide if they should trust her and go against the Bureau. Meanwhile, Nate (Nick Zano) and Zari (Tala Ashe) go on a recon mission to find out what Hank (guest star Tom Wilson) might be hiding from everyone. Caity Lotz, Matt Ryan, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Jes Macallan and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Andrew Kasch directed the episode written by Keto Shimizu & Tyron B. Carter (#409). Original airdate 4/1/2019.

Well, that was interesting. The wrestling choreography was great. As usual the Time Bureau stuff is the worst part of the show, seems like a way for them to save money.

Meh. I feel about Mona how TLJ haters feel about Rose.

Yeah the Time Bureau stuff really, really drags this show down, and they spend too much time with them instead of with the core cast.

I had a hard time staying focused on the ep but that was more about ME and not necessarily the show's fault.

Time Bureau needs to go. It makes no sense that the US Government would be in charge of it and everyone they hire is incompetent and/or completely inexperienced. Also Ava's whole "f**k protecting the timeline, you should have blindly followed me instead" breakup moment just destroyed her character, imo. Bring the focus back to the Legends adventures please. Or just give Rory and Haircut a spinoff.

That is exactly what the Time Bureau is used for by the producers. I actually think some of the stuff happening at the TB is an in-joke by the writing staff and a meta-commentary on the show's production.
