Most Annoying Unsupporting Wives in TV History ?
Which wives in TV history had you pulling your hair out at how unsupportive of their husbands they were in their husbands greatest times of need ?

Corrine Mackey is of course a stand out

Agent's Naveen's wife in Daredevil peed me off whinging like a bitch

Ben's wife in Manifest is getting there too !

Even though there was constant internal ribbing say what you like Peggy Bundy always backed Al when he had external enemies. Hell the whole Bundy family would get stuck in beating people up

first thing that comes to my mind is Skyler from Breaking Bad. She supported him some, but in the end man that has to have hurt Walt...

I didn't even remember Prince Charming's character was named Ben but I kind of hate his wife. I keep waiting for them to set him up with the doctor.

Cersei wasn't exactly supporting of Robert Baratheon.

I'd say TV has a fair share of the opposite, seeing how the common sitcom trope has been competent wife stuck with idiotic husband.

Yeah geez, she was so out of line when she found out her husband was a drug dealer. She should have been supportive of his decision to help the family.

Seriously, she could be annoying but it’s not like she doesn’t have a good reason for being how she is.

I might be alone, but the person I hated most on Breaking Bad was actually Walt. What a completely narcissistic asshole and scumbag he turned out to be. The same with Vic Mackey. Why the hell should anyone support them?

Exactly. And I wonder what the thought among the writers were when these wife characters were created. Did they expect viewers to understand their point of view and realize that the main characters they've been following are actually the antagonist of the story? Or did they expect people to be annoyed by these wives for not being ride or die with their crime boss husbands?

Most of the women listed here didn't support their husbands since they were liars, cheaters and/or criminals! Often times, all three. I mean, come on!

and we are talking about antiheroes, not villians

If Vic Mackey had shot Acevada, Claudette and Dutch right between the eyes, i'd be cheering, not worrying about his criminality

It's funny, because I was thinking old school initially - like Sue Ellen Ewing. But she was married to J.R., and figured she was less worse than the husband.

I get the concept of an anti-hero, but I still don’t feel like Skyler fits in to the category of unsupportive. Annoying maybe yes, but there’s absolutely no reason anyone in her position would be expected to support Walt. He’s making and dealing drugs first off which in and of itself is obviously wrong, and in turn doing so puts himself and his family at risk.
