Watched for the 80s theme (I love that decade) and dropped it during the animation sequence. Just tell me a story in one style. I dont need some fancy shit.
I encountered this issue with Nat Geos Valley of the Boom. That had interviews, dramatization, a dance sequence number - all in the first episode.
If this is a new trend of storytelling, I hate it.

Haven't watched the finale yet, but I did watch the penultimate episode last night. I liked the nods to The Adolescents, including the dedication of the episode to the recently passed Steve Soto.

Had a quick binge of this (lots of fast forwarding). I believe it's been cancelled
If the whole series was like the last episode, i would have missed it, but as it stands, no great loss

PhantomStranger, I'm curious what you thought their missteps were, because I thought it was a great adaptation, personally. In some ways, rereading the comic right after, the show was a lot better.

Then some other show needs to cast Lana Condor as a series regular. Immediately.
(I never cared for the tattoos anyway, even though they were a requirement for her character)
