A Very Brady Renovation - HGTV

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...205218128.html

HGTV bought the house that was used for the exterior shot for The Brady Bunch, and are renovating the interior to look like the actual house.

Count me in!

Are they going to be adding a second floor and take out any toliets in the house?

Count me in as well. I assume they're going to make this into a museum of sorts where people can tour it once it's all said and done.

I'm sure the neighbors will be thrilled about that.

Agreed. However, they're doing the same thing in Tulsa, OK with the Curtis house from The Outsiders and turning that into a museum so it's not a foreign concept. Renovations are in progress, and I agree, I don't know how they'll get around those similar challenges.

Will they be adding Greg's sweet attic bedroom?

Didn't somebody pay a mint for the "Full House" house?

The neighbors are probably going to be pissed with all the attention the HGTV project will bring.

The Christmas Story house in Cleveland is also a museum and gift shop, and you can even stay overnight there (or at the "Bumpus House" next door). It's also another house where they didn't actually shoot anything in the interior.

I believe you mean Greg's groovy attic bedroom.

And don't forget to build a dog house in the back yard with a Kitty Karry-All in it.

The creator of Full House was the one who bought the house. I assume it was for a lot.

We have a thread on that subject in Other: https://forum.dvdtalk.com/other-talk...nch-house.html

Basically HGTV paid 3.5 million and outbid Lance Bass of 'NSYNC for the property a few months ago.

Yahoo story says that all six of the "kids" are delighted to reunite for the HGTV show.

They are delighted to cash a paycheck off something they did 45 years ago.

For some reason I thought that Florence Henderson was still alive. I probably read she passed away when it happened but didn’t remember it.

Fail if they don't have Robbie Rist on for at least one episode.

This premiered last night. They painted the exterior to look like it did as well as added a window and covered one up and removed a brick wall. They also did the family room/staircase and the dining room. Pretty impressive how faithful they actually got it to look. Fun show so far. I’m in for the season.

Was Carol's favorite vase placed precariously on a credenza next to the stairs, directly in the flight path of any errant in-house ball play?

Oh, yeah - it sure was! The same vase used on the dining table (the prop built to leak water).

They did an amazing job with the front of the house and the living room/dining area. An extra amazing job considering just how little the footprint of the house matched the interior of the show.

I'm definitely in for the whole series. It was fun!
