Thanks
I think that the show is narrated by the protagonist is what makes the show good. You get to know the main characters motivations for his actions, even if at times they are a bit twisted. Sometimes you can agree with what the character is thinking and how he is justifying his behaviors; more so in seasons two and three.

Season 3 reaction:
Spoiler:
B+ grade

A couple episodes bored me in the middle, mostly the Marienne stuff. But Love Quinn dying at the end and getting dragged across the kitchen floor made me tear up a little

Love was a crazy beyotch, but damn what a great actress!

I was not prepared for the Cary character. That actor was badass on The Last Ship. That was an epic action show.

Re: You (now on Netflix) C: Berlanti, Gamble, S: Penn Badgley

I just finished binging this and I actually liked it more than Season 2. I do have to say, the most important aspect of the show to me is Penn Badgley's narration. I dont think he is a great actor overall and Victoria Pedratti is much better but his narration skills blow hers away for some reason. It is like he is a better VO actor then he is in person where the opposite is true for her. The episode where Love was the narrator showed how much of a difference there is.

Although I do wonder if that is a specific actor/director choice since he is a sociopath, his internal monologue can be full of emotion and interesting inflections but his outward persona does not allow for that type of emoting.

I know a lot of people were hoping the show would continue with Love as the main character/narrator and I have to say I don't think it would work solely due to the VO aspect.

Never watched season three yet. Maybe eventually I’ll get around to it. I liked season one more than season two personally.

New year, new country, new persona - and yet Joe can’t seem to shake off his past. YOU S4 part 1 comes to Netflix on February 9th.

I really liked season 1, 2 and 3 were ok'ish. This new season to me sucks.

Apparently Badgley told the showrunner that he will no longer do sex scenes on the series. And she agreed to his request.

Weird, since he definitely filmed sex scenes for this season that were in the first 5 episodes. Knocked those out this weekend.

This show is trash and I'm embarrassed I watch it, but damn if it isn't entertaining

Re: You (now on Netflix) C: Berlanti, Gamble, S: Penn Badgley

Season 4A was really good. I liked the departure from love obsession to murder mystery.

Nice change to the series, but keeping the same “killer” theme. And I like the England location setting.

This new season has the ad break fade outs. Weird to see on Netflix shows haha. I have the ad free plan, so it doesn’t matter to me.

I have to say, I quite enjoyed the first half of the season.

It's always nice to see Charlotte Ritchie, and Ed Speleers is usually good, as well.

I was intrigued that this was a Lifetime show originally. Surprised it got so popular on Netflix

I'm not sure how I feel about s4 on a whole at first I hated it and then started to like it once part 2 came out and then started to hated it again.

I did like Kate's character a lot. Can't say I've seen the actress before but she is very pretty.

Re: You (now on Netflix) C: Berlanti, Gamble, S: Penn Badgley

I liked season 4. After watching the first half, I kept telling my friends (who also watch the show) that I was glad this season wasn't about him being a stalker

Excellent twist in the second half of season 4. That twist never even crossed my mind.

Good cameos in episode 4.9.

I'd be ok with the show retiring. The finale seemed like a series finale. I don't need a season 5.

Look for her in the current show 'Ghosts' from the UK, as well as in a show called "Fresh Meat," which is where I first saw her. Both are really good. She's been in lots of other stuff, as well.

I enjoyed the season. I was initially pissed with what I 'thought' was the twist, but was much relieved that it wasn't the actual twist.

I'm happy to watch more of this, except that if it continues
Spoiler:
he's almost certain to kill Kate, based on previous seasons, and I would hate for that to happen.

Through nearly the whole season, they presented her as the moral compass for the show. But in the very last episode she pretty much became everything she despised. Like her father before her, she was using her wealth to cover up everything she was against prior to her father's death. She is now using her money to knowingly cover up all of Joe's murders, past and present.
