It is not a sitcom but this is surprisingly funny on Showtime

No one has mentioned and I watched here and there and actually enjoyed it and now watching from beginning on Hulu. First 3 eps in and I haven’t laughed that much to a new sitcom in years. But have to wholeheartedly recommend The Grinder. Again only Hulu though. It really is funny and irreverent and has some heart. It’s ludicrous, but so fucking enjoyable. Everyone nails there parts. Even the kids. It’s a wonderfully ridiculous brilliantly written show and it’s too bad FOX of all stations gave up on this. I would love for it to be resurrected somewhere else, but doubt it.

I passed this by when it aired but the cast is pretty impressive. I'd give it a look but it's tough knowing going in the fate that awaits it after only one season.

It’ll still be a nice 22ep ride. There are a lot of 1 season shows that were great and I have no problem revisiting over and over...

Seconded, The Grinder was funny. I think it may have been too much of a traditional sitcom for today's younger Millennials.

Yes, that is true. Same goes for a few others in my list like Peep Show and Coupling.

Another great family show is Moone Boy. There is some minor cursing in it but it is a very sweet and funny show.

Seconded, though I think that show is on its third season.

Better Off Ted was a fun one. Short episodes and only 2 seasons. Wish they made more.

While it doesn't fit your 30 minute requirement, I would strongly recommend CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND.
