I’m only halfway through this but it must have already set a record for poorly done fake accents.

Yeah, I am sure it is fun for the actor but the Wells or Harrisons were awful. Really cant wait for this season to finish to set up Season 5. Hoping they an find their mojo again on the show.

Re: The Flash (S4E21) -- "Harry and the Harrisons" -- 5/8/18

yeah, the mojo for the show has completely disappeared. the wells stuff was cringy more so than normal. As a whole, there's not one single story line that I'm liking here.

They need to ditch the season long big bad model, or at least write it as subtly as they did the Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawn storyline. I'm really tired of these people obsessing endlessly over a single foe we all know will be defeated in the end.

At this point I think I'm probably done with The Flash after this season ends. Just not sure I'm willing to put up with another season as terrible as this one has been.

They need to change the whole weak villain of the week/ big bad season long villain formula. They need to ditch the whole Iris/Barry relationship unless they find a new Iris. The actress playing Iris has 0 chemistry with Grant Gustin. She had decent chemistry with detective Thawne but 0 with Barry. They also need to stop with the whole "we hang out at Star Labs and solve crimes". And they need to be consistent with Flash's powers. He can't be slower one week just to fit in the episode's plot. I know 4 seasons is a long time, but Flash has enough comic book history that can be used for TV. Unless WB/DC is fucking them over and holding out characters in case they show up in the big screen.

I spent an episode with Amunet Black and all I got was a rock ...

I can't believe they brought back the stupid Council of Wells. This really screamed out to me as a filler episode they needed without using the Thinker or his wife.

Is Joe still on this show? He was once the second-most important character on Flash in its good years and now he gets a couple of lines per episode.

Re: The Flash (S4E21) -- "Harry and the Harrisons" -- 5/8/18

I know they wont do it but they need to trim these seasons down and instead of a mid season crossover they do a crossover when one season ends and another starts.

So the wife of the man previously convicted of harassing and murdering Devoe publishes an article claiming the Devoe is a supervillain that plans on setting off a doomsday device to turn everyone on Earth into dummies and they all just accept it as truth? Maybe Devoe already set off his doomsday device.

Re: The Flash (S4E21) -- "Harry and the Harrisons" -- 5/8/18

So let me get this straight, Devoe wants to eliminate technology and make the ENTIRE planet dumber. Ignoring the hypocrisy in this plan pointed out last week, why is something potentially affecting the whole world being kept under wraps? This is starting to reek of Suicide Squad. The entire planet is in danger and the best plan is to recruit a villain to take him out?

This may have started out as a Central City problem, but that ended a week ago. This is now a global issue and something that would require the help of say, I dunno, Arrow? Kid Flash? Jessie Quick? Supergirl? Superman? The Legends? But no, we have to rely on a dumb Wells, distracted Cisco, a Killer Frost free Kaitlyn, Team Leader Iris, MIA Joe... and well, Barry. Flash is flying solo on this one.

Sigh. I was totally down with this villain story up until the reveal last week. It all just unraveled with this satellite plan to kill technology/make people dumb.

the villain story has been dragging ass the entire season. I agree that they need to just get rid of the season big bad or just go with a couple of story arcs through it all cause this was pretty bad.

Plus, Barry gave her advice that was something like “Don’t publish it until it’s finished.” Really, Barry? Are you unaware of how writing works (he could be a Flash writer).

The writers just wanted a small emotional conflict between Barry and Iris quickly resolved by episode's end.

I think we are supposed to compare and contrast their relationship with the Thinker and his wife. Granted, it's not skillfully written.

Uh...Davoe can hide from them. With Ralph's powers he can look like whoever he wants.

This was a filler ep and a bad one.

The best thing this series can do would be to drop the eps per season to 15-16.

I'm sure all the Devoe sightings in the comments section are totes legit.

As I said, Davoe doesn't look like Davoe anymore anyways, he can be whoever he wants and isn't limited to the chair.

Of course, because everything you read on the internet is true.

When they did the 2nd Council of Wells, I thought, they must really like Tom Cavanagh to do this bit again.

Who should be the villainS next season?

I really don't complain much about The Flash, but this was a truly awful episode.

The council of Wells stuff was absolutely cringe-worthy.

and I hate Sackhoff as Amunet Black. Awful acccent.

Tom Cavanagh must have been the only actor who loved this script since he got to do those goofy personas again.

I'm afraid to say it, but yeah this has been a pretty disappointing/bad season. Zero re-watchability.

I've liked it overall. It's been closer to the fun of the first season. Ralph was also a better addition than Kid Flash. Amunet is just bad though. Get rid of the goofy accent and she'd probably be a perfectly fine villain. First council of the Wells was enough. Revisiting it wasn't as fun.

I think they need to do some version of the Rogues.

I'd also like to see Barry acting more independently without the whole infrastructure of the team backing him up. But these shows can never give that up.
