I think they need to do some version of the Rogues.
I'd also like to see Barry acting more independently without the whole infrastructure of the team backing him up. But these shows can never give that up. I think they need to bring back Reverse Flash as the primary villain for next season. I wonder if we ever get Max Mercury? |

Revisiting Reverse Flash could be cool, if done right. If done wrong it could just be a retread.

But honestly I'm not a fan of any of the someone-on-computer-talking-to-superhero-over-earpiece stuff that all these shows have. It's okay in small doses. I think it makes sense for Arrow. That show's basically a Batman show, and there have been times when Batman got recon info from Oracle or Alfred or whoever and it works. A character like the Flash, though, should be a more traditional superhero, running into fights and having to figure out how to beat them on his own. I imagine part of the problem is trying to communicate a hero figuring out a puzzle on his own without talking to anyone, and that's why they insist on including other people in this process. But the way it usually plays out is that some techie on a computer just tells Flash how to beat the guy and Flash does what he says. The show's much better when stuff doesn't go as planned and Flash is forced to improvise and use his science smarts. |

Since we can't have Capt. Boomerang show up, how about Owen Mercer? Maybe in a 2 parter?

Why not Boomerang? It's not like he's a vital part of the DC cinematic universe, if that's even still a thing.

I'm not sure that matters in a comic book show.
