This one was mostly about Rao being some kind of prophet/religion figure in Krypton and the political aspect. It was different and tried to separate itself from the Superman lore. Black Zero, being some kind of dissident group, played a big part here.

That thing that entered Seg's nose was freaky.

I wonder what that thing was that possessed Rao at the end and if it will turn him into a more maniacal prophet.

It was Brainiac's sentry. Same thing that took over the mom. It traded up to a better host. We can assume that the mom gave it to her while she was being controlled by the sentry.

Don't think the group that captured Seg were Black Zero. Seemed to be a different underground group working with the Els, going back to Seg's grandfather, to prevent the coming of Brainiac.

I liked the episode except for the brainiac statue. The girl stated it was a tradition to give the statue to multiface guy. However, it was clear people didn't usually give him stuff. As a backup plan it was a long shot.

Are we to take that Nyssa is Superman's great grandmother? They've already done the genetic match between Seg and her. The best thing about Krypton is the actress playing her, Wallis Day. That was quite a casting coup, locking her into a low-budget cable contract.

You mean Grandmother (if she is)

Seg-El is Kal-El's grandfather.

They are doing that thing where most the characters are awful people or borderline at best. (Not all, just a lot)

I'm close to going out. There is just enough to give it one more episode

While watching the show, I knew I saw Colin Salmon before but couldn't quite place where. When I brought up the page just now, it clicked - he played Walter Steele in the first few seasons of Arrow.

He's been on a ton of shows in the past decade plus, especially if you watch British TV. I think this entire cast might be British.

Then I've done a very good job of inadvertently avoiding him as I only recognize him from Arrow. I do watch British TV, but nothing remotely current. I guess I should look into fixing that.
