Wow, a Shi’ar reference. I have to wonder if that’s just an Easter egg or something more.
Comic book spoiler that could come into play:
Spoiler:
Professor X had a romance with Lilandra, the empress of the alien Shi’ar Empire. Maybe she could ultimately be David’s birth mother.

An alien ship and a Shi'ar empire reference. Carry is aging rapidly while being outside. Giant floating hands pointing to something. Future Cid is missing a arm and her fingers are black. Helmet head can monitor the entire base from inside his helmet.

My teenage son sat down to watch this with me last night without having seen any previous episodes. Needless to say he was confused as heck and had a ton of questions but sat there and watched the whole thing without once checking his phone or iPad. That right there is a monumental accomplishment. I just hope he doesn't end up with a fetish involving mustachioed women and wicker baskets.

This is probably my second favorite show on TV right now, after The Magicians. Man, it is so fun. I love how completely weird it is.

Navid Negahban as Farouk is a great addition to an already outstanding cast.

Got a couple questions answered, but ended up with more new questions by the end. The amount of work that goes into making each scene unique and different still blows me away. Kudos to the set desginer(s) and SFX crew(s) that work on this show.

Was reading an interview with the director (who did Girl Walks Home Alone At Night and Bad Batch) and apparently they do give their directors full experimental freedom on the show.

My two favorite scenes this week involved him. The first was Farouk's "wrestling match" with Haller and the second was Farouk's conversation with Lenny in the meadow. (Plus it was cool how he rubbed out the fortune telling booth.)
