Didn't feel much like a true goodbye, but a "we're off to potentially start another storyline next season" sort of exit.

It felt that way but majority of the cast and crew dislike her and that was the end of her contract. I don’t think she’s ever gonna be on that set again. She’s also not well liked in casting circles and isn’t in any pilots so I almost wonder if she’s done acting.

What has she done to deserve such dislike?

Very strange way to write an "exit" for Willa Holland.
It was nice to see Katrina Law again, although she didn't really do anything in this episode.
I see in the preview for next week that Diggle is going to get pissy because Oliver won't let him be the Arrow again.

I find myself fast forwarding this season due to all the characters being pissy. Was really looking forward to this season but it has become unwatchable for me due to all the whining. With no real "threat" not sure what we are doing this season.

It's been known for a long time that Willa Holland was leaving Arrow after this season since her contract was up. I could see them bringing her back for one or two episodes, but this is the actual end of her as a regular Arrow cast member.

Getting tired of the Arrow team always being so extremely moody/pissy.
Seems next weeks episode takes it to another level. Because Oliver wants to continue being the GA, Diggle is willing to fight him over it? -_- We already have the whole team split between OG Team Arrow and New Team Arrow as it was.
Seems we're either in for some massive forgiveness all around episode or this season is gonna leave us with Team Arrow consisting of only Oliver and long time friendships cracked beyond repair but'll find a way to magically heal next season.
In any event, CW renewed this and all the other DC shows for another season.
Hopefully next season they break these shows down and come up with two separate arcs instead of a single season long arc, because they just seem to run out of steam way before the season end.

I concur with your point on season-long arcs. A season-long arc has only been pulled off well a couple of times in all the DC shows.

As for season long stories. Half the time they have to drop it for a bit because there is not enough story there for so many episodes which can be okay as it does not feel like I'm waiting around for it to get to the point and just enjoy the episode of that week.
They do need to fix the moodiness.
