Re: Homeland (S7E04) -- "Like Bad At Things" -- 3/4/18

oh my god!!!!

This show has seriously taken a nosedive. Which i find hard to believe since the crew is loaded with proven talent.

I can't believe Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin didn't throw these scripts in the trash when they saw them. They are producers and have the weight to do so.

These storylines are the stupidest the show has ever had.

Get Carrie to Syria fighting ISIS or just end the show....I can't believe they are dwelling on this domestic crap and her bi-polar situation as the A and B story this season!!!

The radio show host was good for one episode last season and should have ended there. Nobody cares about the Waco-Lite situation that has wasted 3 episodes.

The drama over Carrie fighting her sister over taking her meds has become a cliche at this point.

And the female president story has gone nowhere. Now it looks like they are moving into 'fake news' and foreign governments pulling the strings in U.S.

UGH! Nobody watching this show wants to see the same shit they see on the news everyday!

It’s always the Russians

I did enjoy how apparently none of the FBI guys saw the Hillbilly militia walking straight towards when they took the one guy hostage.

That was the most ridiculous 40 minutes of television I have seen in a long time. I honestly feel sorry for Mandy Patinkin, an actor whose work I have always enjoyed but now has become just another clown amongst the circus of fools. And since it looks like it is going to get far worse at least now I know it will do it without me. Billions can't get here soon enough.

I skipped all the Carrie stuff and watched the Waco stuff.. kept my interest and I felt the same thing about Patinkin, but a paycheck is a paycheck

I’m enjoying this season as the show has been over the top for the past few seasons so I expect it now. Again, it’s not ANYWHERE near the quality of the early Brody seasons so the show is what it is at this point.

I actually think the show is (intentionally or unintentionally) is making the Gun Toters sympathetic. The Feds are the ones who shot first at a teenager and the dog and it sort of makes the 2nd Amendment people's case for guns against a tyrannical President and Government.

Not sure how the dog events played out as we didn't see it, but I'm guessing the dog approached them to attack and they shot him... although I'm not sure that's justifiable.

But the kid had a few seconds to assess the situation after seeing his dog dead and still decided to raise his gun and aim at federal officers - which is the only reason he got shot. The only reason he didn't shoot first is because the feds were ready to defend themselves and beat him to the punch. Can't blame the feds one bit on that.

Yes, I'm serious.

Maybe I should have said 'Somewhat Sympathetic.'

I can sympathise for the kid who lost his dog and the mom after his kid got shot but that's about it.

People who want to play with guns should know how to act with them. Pointing them in the faces of law enforcement isn't it

I honestly didn't look at it from a political bias like yourself, as it was something that struck me during the episode (I don't any guns so I wasn't saying that as some 2nd Amendment Person). I need to watch it again, and see how I feel about it.

Political bias?
