Re: The Walking Dead (S8E07) -- "Time after Time" -- 12/3/17

I've developed a theory on how Morgan gets to TX and FTWD. He gets on the Helicopter bound for Bermuda. As he is crossing the ocean a storm develops and like that BAM! As he crosses the Bermuda Triangle his helicopter is ripped across time and space landing him about 1 year in the past in Houston. People will be talking about it for years just like who shot Jr...

We'll see how the mid-season finale goes, but after this season so far, it's looking to be time to offload my first 6 season Blu-ray set. I can't see myself ever watching the series again given the last 1.5 seasons.

I kind of debated about that a few months ago. But, I spent really good money on the first 6 seasons and it's simply not worth it to dump them for what $5 each tops?

Ugh if that's the case then I'll be stuck. The completist in me is at risk for buying S7.

I rewatched last weeks episode & caught something that I didnt the first time around. During the scene where Carl & Siddiq are attacked by walkers in the woods, it looked like Carl got bit on his side so maybe the big shocker is this reveal in next weeks episode.

I also agree with everyone who complained about Rick & the garbage people. Entire thing made no sense. Why would he go in alone & confident they wouldnt kill him? Why wouldn't they kill him when they had the chance?

I know you're joking but...

It can't happen that way… 1) this isn't Lost and 2) The timelines between the two shows are vastly different... they wouldn't jeopardize FTWD with that stunt.

FTWD is somewhere around 65 (for perspective, Rick woke up around Day 59) and the crew of TWD is somewhere in the 600s (I think)… The only way that Morgan could be part of the other group is if he visited them somewhere between season one and when he showed back up in Seasons 3 and 5.

They'll have to shoe-horn him into their storyline.

They are casting a lot of roles for FTWD's next season. Maybe it will be a time jump?

At this point, time travel or aliens couldn't hurt with the way things have been going.

TBH, I've never seen an episode of FTWD. I don't think I'm missing anything.

Sure you are. You are missing a horrible woman and plenty of frustration, which culminate in a lot of opportunities to pull your hair o....oh, never mind.

So ... they just swapped Rick for a woman?

No, she is truly far more annoying than Rick Grimes could ever be. I watched the first season and rooted for the walkers.

This season just like last one is a real stinker.

You underestimate my hatred for Rick. I know we tend to like anti-hero stories in this day and age, but people who don’t realize he is the villain are snowed.

If only the problem with the lead in FTWD was that she was an anti-hero or villain. That would qualify as a Homeric epic compared to the reality of the show.

Re: The Walking Dead (S8E07) -- "Time after Time" -- 12/3/17

I’m trying to stick with this show but it’s completely boring and I’m going to reevaluate whether I want to come back after the midseason finale tonight.

It really drives the point that the ideal serial drama should be 5-6 seasons to tell their story as this show is on Season 8 and it’s completely uninteresting. I know that Game of Thrones will end it with 8 seasons but they stuck with 10 episodes each year and shortened them even more for Seasons 7 and 8.

The only way I would stick with TWD is if Gimple/Kirkman would come out and say they are ending it at Season 9 or 10, but obviously they are going to milk this cow well past that.

Re: The Walking Dead (S8E07) -- "Time after Time" -- 12/3/17

I just watched this episode last night, one thing I didn't get is how did all of the walkers get into the sanctuary? I mean, the truck crashed into the wall, but wasn't it just sitting there, meaning the hole it made was blocked by the truck? And yet, when they showed it from inside, there was sunshine pouring in like there was a huge empty hole.
