Does AMC have to pay a fine every time the F-bomb is dropped? If not, then why does the network put a limit on its use? Is it afraid more than 2 times per season will offend viewers' delicate sensibilities?

The FCC does not control the usage of language/sexual content for cable because it's subscription-based. Basic cable has loosened restrictions for bad language (watch FX), but I'm sure they have to keep things to a reasonable level to not piss off the advertisers.
